New Plastic Ball 14 July 2014

The new plastic ball that is coming up on the 14th July 2014, is the new ball in the beginning for everyone er just for the pro's????

What I understood is that the ITTF will start using the new ball in July 2014, in their international events. Whenever continental, national and regional associations will start using the new ball is up to themselves, I don't think there's any info on that yet.

It's senseless and everyone having tried these balls say that it's awful, has a bad sound and it can be easily broken...So that means we need more money...WTF ?!

I haven't seen many positive reviews about the new ball either..
I think the introduction with this new ball will really affect rising table tennis stars such as state/national level juniors that are just starting to make their strokes into habits, and then be forced to change it again..
Like me..

Also remember, some national organisation is slow to implement changes.
So July 2014 is ITTF world events, your national/provincial touranment may still be using old ball for a while.

I'm sure soon, there will be a cut off date annoucement for EOL of the old ball
