Picking up some of the feedback on Etika 47:

  • Low catapult / linear / predictable
  • Sponge and top-sheet 'in sync' (ie. not a hard sponge with soft top-sheet, or vice versa)
  • 2.1mm sponge with no 'ultramax' option
  • Grippy (but not tacky) top-sheet
  • Better durability than average

Sounds a lot like Fastarc G-1. Anyone played with both and able to comment?

Still keen to hear thoughts on this comparison if anyone's able to. Thanks! 🙂

I have briefly tried Etika 47 on Viscaria. In my hands it behaves somewhere between T80 and T05. Speed and throw angle are like in T80. Grip like in T05. Ease of use is closer to T80 than to T05.

G-1 is very different than Etika 47. G-1 is harder, slower and much higher throw angle. With G-1, for me, it takes more effort to get the ball deeper into the rubber to generate strong spin. For Etika 47, there is easy access to spin, similar to that with T05.

Overall, Etika 47 looks like a very impressive rubber.

someone tried NEXY ETIKA PRO 47?
My friend loves new HYBRID MK PRO (51) on FH and I try to find him new BH rubber and we have 3-4 choices, HYBRID MK, Tronix ACC, G1, Xiom Omega 7 PRO and he is hard hitter, less topspin player .
BTW Hybrid MK Pro is TOP rubber near Dignics 05

I have both NEXY EKITA PRO 51 & NEXY EKITA PRO 47.

There is only a slight difference between them IMHO.

Both to me play very close to Tenergy 05 with the 47 being slightly softer and a little bit bouncier

As ever its all subjective.

However i can currently get Nexy rubbers cheaper than Tenergy so I'm sticking with it at present

Hi, can some one compare etika pro 47 with Hammond Z2 special version? Thanks.
I can compare Z2 with T05 and I can tell Z2 is several classes below… It feels like a 45* rubber but is claimed to be 50… Spin is very moderate. Less catapult and speed than T05. I find Tibhar hybrid MK a much better choice. Haven’t tried any Nexy’s yet…

Cheers

Are you talking about the normal Z2 or special version? Because the special version is indeed 45° and normal Z2 50°

I can also only talk about the normal Nexy Etikas, which I'll probably play again next season on both sides.
If im not mistaken, the pro has just a different sponge, that makes it a bit faster and spinnier. Maybe boosted?

The normal Etika is quite good, only thing that sometimes bothers me is the low arc/throw playing from below the table. But this happens like once a match so its fine.
Speed and spin is on a upper level, maybe not the best of best, but good enough for outright points. I can generate better spin with them, than my Q Qualitys. Speed is more linear, their catapult isn't overly strong. Not that spin sensitive, and grips when you let the ball sink in a bit. Pretty much every shot is possible and easy to do. Smash, chop, loop, drive, counter spin, ...
Oh and durability wise its a gem. A year of regular use is no problem. My 2 year old sheet works also kinda alright.

Thanks, use z2 special version for BH, it is linear too, direct and enough fast. Z2 normal is too hard and fast even for my FH :). And will try etica 47 soon. Use japanese rubbers for BH because they are much lighter than ESN rubbers. Use many Z2 SP and lighter is 44 g and heavier is 46.6 g. (all calculate for 157/150). I tried for example donic bluestorm pro am for BH and it is 48.5 g same speed, nice clik sound but so springy and much catapult and high throw. Will try etica 47 soon. Tks.
