Awesome man! Thanks for the review. I never played with any Nittaku blade, but I hope these Revisions play just as well (or better) than the originals. Can’t wait to get mine in & glued up.
Hey, Silver
Have you tried your new blade yet?
Very interested to hear more about this revised handle version if you have

It was just delivered yesterday. So hopefully I get to glue it and play with it sometime this week. Although I have nothing to compare it to other than a Petr Korbel JP, and a Yasaka Sweden Extra.

Edited to add:
I will say however, I’ve never felt an original Acoustic handle, but this feels way more comfortable than my Korbel JP straigh handle. Feels like it has another 2-3mm in diameter. A lot more fuller. Aside from the handle whatever they did to the wings of the blade is probably my favorite part. You can get a way more comfortable grip without it digging into the side of your finger/hand.

The websites state the weights of these new revised blades should be 89g+/-. Mine arrived at 92g. More than I’d like, but I guess it won’t be too slow as I advance. The overall balance of the blade feels great though. My Korbel is 85g, but because of the larger size of the head & the thin handle the distribution still makes it somewhat head heavy.

Let us know how it compares to your YSE.
Im no Yogi, and Im not at the level to tell a huge difference between 5 pieces of wood from another so I can’t really speak on speed, spin, and flex, but more so how it feels compared to my other blades.

Played briefly tonight, 3 games with the Acoustic, 2 with the Korbel, and I can’t tell a huge difference between them. The two are very similar to each other with the Acoustic having just a slight touch more vibration/feel than the Korbel, a lot more feel than a YSE for sure, but not sure if that’s down to the anigre vs limba. I definitely find the Acoustic more comfortable than the Korbel Japan, both straight handles. The Yasaka definitely has the thickest handle of the three.

I am curious if the 7g weight difference makes a huge difference. If the Korbel & Acoustic were both ~85g the Acoustic would probably have a lot more vibration & feel. Will definitely get some more games in, and see if my feelings change over the next month or so. That way I’ll know if I just wasted my money 😂.

Thanks for the info on the Acoustic G-Revision handle @Silver Server and @Wadawada123 . I ordered an Acoustic G-Revision, FL, All-Wood based on that. Received it in the mail today. My 2 cents on the handle:
  • I never hand any other version of the Acoustic in my hands, so I can't compare it
  • I will not measure the handle, since other people have done enough of it
  • Blades / handle types I had so far: DHS Fang Bo (prototypical tiny DHS handle), Tibhar (some 5 ply All-Round), Yinhe N10, Sanwei Echo, Stiga Nostalgic (Master)
  • In terms of "chunkiness" I would compare the handles as follows:
    • Yinhe N10 >= Sanwei Echo > Acoustic G-Rev > Tibhar >= Stiga Master > DHS
  • It's basically a regular FL handle, if a tiny bit on the small side. I personally would have liked it a tad bigger, but it's perfectly comfortable and playable
    • EDIT: Did some "grip comparisons" again. It's actually just a regular FL handle, not on the small side. But noticeable less chunky than the large grips of Sanwei, which I personally like very much.
  • Apart from that, the two standout features of the blade:
    • The new deep cut wings are amazing and allow for a very comfortable grip.
    • Nice Craftmanship

By the way, tt11 currently has the G-Revision Acoustic on Sale for 103 EUR (Wood) / 115 EUR (Carbon). They told me the offer is valid until Monday (not sure, though, if that means including Monday...). If any time is a good time to get yourself a Nittaku Acoustic, it is probably now :)

If it wasn’t for the price I wouldn’t have bought it myself. Been playing with this exclusively the past couple of weeks and Im starting to understand it’s magic. However I don’t like how Rakza 7 plays on it personally so have ordered 2 sheets of G1 to pair it with.

Hi ,
Wondering has anyone compared the new Acoustic Inner carbon G -Revision to the Korbel (Japan ) blade. Wondering if the Nittaku is faster and even more control. Thanks.

I was also wondering Acoustic Inner Carbon G-revision versus Long 5 or BTY innerforce series, Xiom txmi etc

Because
- the price is good (~€50 cheaper than alternatives)
- quality of craftsmanship and material are very high, (even better than butterfly)
- Weight, thickness, handle size, composition is also fits with other blades.

But why it is not popular? Because lack of sponsored player?

Okay, back than acoustic inner carbon has only normal handle (thinner one, not sg, not large) so it makes sense why ppl don’t prefer it.

When I tried an Acoustic Carbon Inner LG handle a good few years ago, it was a very controlled carbon blade with good feeling and stability. I may have had an outlier, but it wasn't a very powerful blade, so different profile to the others you mentioned.

Got the Nittaku Carbon inner acoustic g-revision, lovely handle . The thinnest bit was 85mm circumferance, better than the small handle version. Very comfortable for medium size hands. The blade is 94g with rubbers about 184g. Not head heavy pretty balanced probably about 10% faster than my Korbel (Japan) and with more spin and better smashes, great in short game too. Still has that woody feel too. Impressed
