Found a Acoustic G Revision with 85g (FL)
Didnt know lighter pieces like that existed.

Really curious how this highly praised blade will play
I had a 78g Nittaku Acoustic as my first blade.

The blade built much of its reputation before the new ball. It's thin and flexy compared to all of the other blades I've used.

Personally, I would've liked the new G revision to have added like 0.2-0.3mm in thickness to the core.

I think this is why most of the G-Revisions are 90+ grams. I think the 5ply is thicker than the carbon variants.

The original was listed as 90g from the manufacturer too.

The weight depends just on the wood, they aim for 90g but they will be off by 10g give or take. For my case, the weight was off by 12g.

This is a consistency issue with all manufacturers because the wood has variable density.

interesting, the more dense the faster it most likely be. Nittaku seems to have wide variance though , TT website measured there's at 82g and mine is 94g. To me to much variance. It would nearly like playing with a nearly different blade.

Yea I understand that, but it seems almost everyone I have seen with the new G-Revision has been over 90g. Myself included. I haven’t seen one under 90g yet, but Im sure they’re out there, because wood. It would seem they made these to address the handle issues first, and maybe took into consideration the 40+ ball, but that would be just my assumption.

I have a G revision that weighs 88 grams. It's an Inner Carbon but I still remember weighing a few at the store in Tokyo and many of them were under 90 grams.

I bought mine on Amazon so not sure I could have chosen a weight as they don't advertise weight, I would have preferred around 88 grams. Amazon was significantly cheaper than other places including eBay

I have a old version of all wood acoustic. I loved it. My question would be. Is there a point in testing the g revision ? Does it feel like the old one or is the g revision faster ?
I never used the old version but mine is really fast for a wood blade, but still have loads of feeling and control.
