Oh Sang Eun defeats Timo Boll in the ECL! (Round 2)

Round 2 of the Europeans Super League began on the 17[SUP]th[/SUP] September 2011 with two strong teams going neck and neck!

Three times consecutive Champions Borussia Dusseldorf have yet another un surprise defeat in the Champions League! Timo Boll’s club Borussia faced a strong Polish club called Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

In the opening match up it was Borussia’s Patrick Baum versus Bogoria’s Oh Sang Eun. The young Baum put up a good fight but it was not meant to be and the Korean won the match scoring the first point for Bogoria. In the second match it was the worlds number 3 Timo Boll versus Wang Zeng Yi. Wang Yeng Zi put up an awesome fight however lost 3 games to nil. The match was now levelled at 1-1.

In the third match it was a battle of two titans! Jakab Janos of Dusseldorf versus Daniel Gorak. The match was close and Janos had match points to win the game. Although this was not meant to be for Jakab and Daniel pulled through to win by 3 games to 2.

In fourth match of the night Timo Boll had it all to play for. Borussia Dusseldorf were 2-1 down and needed this win to level the match score. It’s reported that Timo Boll controlled most of the game having four match points in the fourth set. However, luck didn’t go with him and his team and Oh Sang Eun prevailed with a 3 games to 2 win.
