I have an old 729 Battle 2 Provincial Blue Sponge that is still sealed, I'm guessing it's been sitting around for 3 years or so.
Has anyone tried to open a Battle 2 that's been sitting around for that long? Worried that it's durability is screwed or they may already be separation between topsheet and sponge.
This version of the Battle 2 has a vacuum sealed packaging.

i got a similar problem with a couple of H3 neo.
If you think of using it for yourself you might as well open it and have a try.
If you rather think of selling it you are in the same predicament as i am 😁
If you open it to check it, it is difficult selling it as a NEW product.

I just remembered : I got a couple of Tianjin Chang Xing Rubbers : Super 999t.
I must have had them in a cupboard for 4 years or so. I just took one out of the cover and it is still sticky and looks perfectly fine. It is not even in a vacuum pack.
The sponge might be a bit harder than original but that can easily be fixed .

I think it will be ok. I've used H3 that is 10 years old and it was fine

Again, you never know real age of rubber coverings. Manufacturers keep the age concealed, not displayed on the outer packs. Older Tenergy recognizable by the logo design.

5 years would be typical shielf time for sealed rubber products, provided not being exposed to extremе environment, UF is most deadly factor.
So you can stock/shelf the rubber for max of 5yrs?
I might shelf some of my spare rubber of current setup and just use my cheaper ones then - save it for training before & tournament then..
