oxidizing hurricane 3 national blue

My hurrciane 3 blue sponge national is oxidizing 2 month from first opened. I boosted the rubber and always kept it in a case with film. Why did this happen?

Wow. That looks bad. I haven't seen that on any of my hurricanes 3(mostly neo) doesn't matter how old they are. Could it be a bad batch?

Do you use tap water to clean it? Maybe you can try distilled water on the next one.

I wash my rubbers after every use with our government sponsored- highly chlorinated water and
even after months of this horrific treatment they do not show any signs of abuse.
One other thing that just came to my mind : I see some players in the clubs applying the film after washing the rubbers without thoroughly drying them. Not a good idea because the Oxygen in the HO2 might help the oxidation ........maybe.

I dont believe H3 blue sponges were fake

Might be because you are not taking care of it properly, it looks really worn, and it also looks like you are cleaning it with facial tissues/toilet paper + water. Cleaning it with water is fine, but as I said, the tissue plus water combo won't do the trick when it comes to cleaning your rubbers. Try investing in a sponge, they're about $10 -$15 dollars if im correct (i got mine for $15). Also, do you put your racket in a case? Or do you just put the adhesive sheet on and leave it around, this could also be the case of oxidization ? Try to take every precaution you can to take care of it, otherwise the rubber might just be from a bad batch, as some people have complained about.
It also might be a fake.
May I ask where you bought it from?

Are you using a ball spinner or wheel for practice? I had a boosted Mercury 2 begin to look like that after whacking a ball spinner too much. The impact and abrasion is magnified significantly compared to hitting a ball that's unattached to something.

It happened to me with my red Vega pro. I washed it with ordinary water with a sponge after training and, having not dried it enough, put it in a plastic bag. In those places where moisture remained, the surface of the topsheet became much lighter than the main red color of the rubber, but this only affected the aesthetic appearance, there was no noticeable decrease in grip or change in properties. The photo here is completely different.

If it still plays as before then one could live with the fact that it looks like s#%^ 😂

I didn’t seem to notice that it began to play worse, but I immediately wanted to replace it, ej is not asleep

I have been using the butterfly rubber cleaner as well as using a case, I'm pretty sure this is a fake as the packaging was different to my coach's h3. But I'm still wondering if oxidation affects performance. Thank you
