My Sanwei Fextra 7 paired with G1 / C1 is great, and I’ve been playing with it for a while now. Then for fun I dusted off my Ovtcharov ALC with D09c / D05 and one thing I noticed right away is that It was a lot easier to loop backspin and I kinda wish it was that easy with Fextra 7. Not that I can’t loop backspin, I very much can, it’s just super easy with Ovtcharov. Got me thinking about trying Ovtcharov with G1 / C1 to see if I like it (D05 / D09C combo never really sat with me super well, likely because when I tried it my technique was nowhere near where it should be to use it haha but I still have a sour taste in my mouth from them )

First impressions:

My bad commercial sheet is still bad. It flattened slightly but that's all. No noticeable expansion, just a little rejuvenated feel to the sponge.

I reboosted my better commercial sheet and simultaneously boosted the provincial sheet.
Provincial seems to be reacting almost instantly, not a heavy curl but I put a subtle layer on.
But the quality difference is real. Provincial topsheet looks and feels amazing. Very uniform, very rubbery (instead of a very slightly rigid, almost plastic feeling. Rxton 3 Pro has that very clearly and I don't like it at all, feels cheap). I understand where people are coming from when they say don't get commercial. I do still feel like it's a good cheap way to get familiarized with the basic characteristics of Hurricane 3 neo.

I'm not throwing any sheet out, they all still have functioning topsheets and sponge. The bad commercial sheet is going for a stint on my backup Frankensteined Waldner Senso Carbon, because I can. The others will find a blade soon.

Just bought a brand new 88g Butterfly ZJK ALC off FB Marketplace for only $240 CAD, which is extremely close to the retail price of the other BTY outer ALC blades like Viscaria and FZD ALC. Honestly a steal at that price considering BTY obviously stopped making the ZJK blades

I have a spare H3N Provincial BS 40 to put on the FH, and I just ordered a Stiga Dna dragon power 55 on aliexpress for only $37 CAD to put on my BH to test as a D09c alternative. If i like it i will switch to DP55 as my main BH rubber over 09c since 09c is $85 CAD for me and DP55 is more than half off the price of it haha

I've been quite satisfied with my current blade (JOOLA Rossi Emotion) for some time now but then Xiom went and re-released this guy for a limited time and the EJ FOMO bug bit me hard in the arse. So now I'm the proud new owner of a Xiom Hugo HAL I didn't need 😂

I want to try a Hurricane3 (non-NEO) in my FH, to see how different is from Mantra Pro M in FH chop, push, Fh spin/top-spin and service.

I don't want to be very bouncy, so I am thinking of 2 very thin layers. Right?

I'd say you want to get a curl, but not so strong that the ends are pointing inward.
Start with a thin layer, rest the rubber on the bottle so it can curl, and wait for at least 2 hours to see the effect. Repeat the process with another thin layer until you reach the desired curling.
Depending on the quality of the rubber I estimate 3 thin layers will bring it to life, 4 will add a bit of pop.
You will never make it bouncy, that's just not what it does.

I believe you may be referring to SK Seven Korbel. A second release of the popular blade with skin change and a pro name slapped on and more kaching ($$$ ) BTY can charge for a classic blade.
