Just saw this on my feed - this is almost exactly what I was talking about this LP/inverted Cpen amateur style being really strong, and this kid seems to have adopted it all at the pro level lol

Must be very tricky for the juniors to hit a style at that level so unfamiliar and different from the norm.
There's some great angles and good hands in the highlight points.
Old school throwback with a nice twist.

Very dangerous style to play against.

He holds the racket under the table during serve receive, sometimes flipping to inverted black side to pivot attack the serve. Nice way to prevent the typical strategy of serving fast long to the pips.

His RPB attack also looks pretty solid.

My friend plays like that in our club. I used to beat him.

But he rarely turns up to the club this year. I almost always lose whenever I play him.

These styles are dangerous if you don't encounter them often enough

There's a coach on the WRM Youtube channel who plays like this. He has some good training videos. Must be maddening to play against that style.
Yeah. Another one I'd run away from if I had to play against. I enjoyed watching how Aruna played against him in the same channel.

It's like they decided at a very young age, to play like old pensioners.

When you mentioned "old pensioners" you remind me of this 😂

There are many pensioners playing in a park in China. They use LP or worn out rubbers pretty dangerous
