ITTF Announces Inaugural Star Awards Night
The Inaugural ITTF Star Awards, celebrating the STARS of Table Tennis.
The International Table Tennis Federation has announced that the Inaugural ITTF Star Awards & Fundraising Dinner will be held on 11 January 2014, Saturday, at the Raffles Hotel in Dubai.
"After the success of the inaugural 2013 Fundraising dinner during our World Championships in Paris, we have decided to make it an annual event and in 2014 the dinner will be held in conjunction with the World Tour Grand Finals and the newly developed ITTF Star Awards," said ITTF President Mr. Adham Sharara.
Organised in conjunction with the GAC Group 2013 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals, the ITTF Star Awards 2013 aims to recognize and celebrate the STARS of table tennis, the athletes who have made table tennis their passion, career and life.
It will be an evening of glitz and glamour, as athletes dress up in their finest to attend the Awards Night, which will be streamed "Live" on ITTF's YouTube Channel. The 7 Awards to be presented are:
"A sport is but nothing without its athletes," said Mr. Sharara. "And with your help, we can honour deserving athletes, and continue to develop table tennis and young stars through the ITTF Dream Building Program. We sincerely hope you will support our event."
Profits from the Awards & Fundraising Dinner, where the ITTF is also planning to include a special auction, will go towards the ITTF Dream Building Program, which supports the developmental efforts of the ITTF around the world. Corporate dinner packages start from US$3,000 per table of 10 pax, while limited individual seats are available at US$300 per person. Event and Award sponsorships are also available. Please contact Kimberly at [email protected] for more information.
