How would you rate table tennis 40+ balls from best to worst?

1) Nittaku PREMIUM 3*
This is an excellent ball and It's out in front by some distance. Last forever

2, 3 & 4) DHS / YINHE/ YASAKA 3*
have found these all to be very good, very durable. They all seem like the same ball to me, could all be made in same factory? I dunno?

5) Joola Prime. Good balls, very popular at our club. Decent durability also.

(1) DHS D40+ balls are best. I can feel the rubber biting the ball for a long time.
(2) Yinhe seamless balls have the most forgiveness because of less spinny and lower flying speed. Practicing with long pimples is comfortable by using these balls.
(3) Most other brands, no specific feelings.
(4) Double fish and Nittaku balls. I have no feeling at all when the rubber bites the ball. And flying speed is high compared with DHS or Yinhe seamless. They are not fit for my playing style.

Anyone tried Victas' VP40+ balls?
I played with one when we ran out of balls and had to use it for matchplay. It was okay but it was worn.

Funny....Nittaku premium's "last" forever but only in the sense that they do not break. However, it doesn't take long for them to lose that initial feeling (they get very smooth after just a few open plays).

Where as the DHS balls...they physically break easier but they never really lose that out of the box feeling. for this reason, I prefer the DHS balls.

How about butterfly r40+?

DHS D40+ are nice, Nittaku as well.
Tibhar 3* are ok, but they break easily.
Tibhar training purple balls, they are ok, nothing to write home about.
DHS RS40+ is plastic garbage.
Double Fish 3* I do like but they seem floaty.
Pro TT balls are good for training, similar to D40 but much cheaper. Not as durable.
Butterfly R40+ slippery, hate them.
Sanwei blue training balls, they are pretty nice. Survived the longest so far. Highly recommended.

Right now I settle fir whatever ball I am presented, but when I buy my own its those two brands. Can’t really say much about Butterfly balls. One of my clubs are using Donic ant the other one Stiga. They are OK but I prefer Nittaku and DHS( 3*).

Out of curiosity which DHS 3*? Do u like the new RS40+ or do u like the D40+? I am asking only because my experiences are varying extremely between those 2.

DHS DJ40 are the best balls overall
Nittaku are also good but have lower spin and a slightly higher bounce so a lot of players like them as its easier to hit and counter
Butterfly are bad IMO, very high bounce and low spin a real bashers ball
XIOM are the reverse a very slow spinny ball

Double fish are double awful

DHS 40+ is my ball of choice because i can get them for £.50 each and nittaku/DJ are about £2 each and IMO any fresh ball with less than 2 months of play is better than a 1 year old nittaku slipfest (DHS DJ wont live to a year)

Any ball you can afford to replace 2-4 times a year is the best ball and the best for this is the DJ40+. If you need cheaper the D40+ can be imported very cheaply. If you insist on using balls until they are shiny and the logo wore off a year ago then frankly get butterfly as they feel like no spin bashers out the box

I've tried many balls too, and prefer the DHS D40+ ones because they seems to spin the best, I just don't get the same arc or kick with the Nittaku or other balls.

In Hungary we paly with Joola balls (they are the national sponsors).
Joola Flash is the most common. It plays completely different to the mainstream chinise type balls. Also they are NOT round. 50+/72 balls in the package is extremely wobbly.
Joola Prime is much closer to the mainstream competition balls, but it's worse in quality.
DHS DJ40+, Sanwei ABS Pro, Double Fish V40+ are the balls used in international competitions and they are the best ones, also pretty similar.
The Butterfly balls were terrible, the newest ones are pretty playable but a bit hard. When when played, the defenders could have long rallies with them, I guess the hardness and not too spinny surface makes them predictable.

Hard, constant quality (roundness), on a par with the best DHS (because they probably are pretty much identical).
