Until they release the official bracket, its probably a crap shoot guessing who will win with even the slightest idea. All the Chinese can beat each other on any given day, and some have strengths against a particular other Chinese player, and that will ultimately effect how the tournament plays out

Chances don't look good for Boll.... to get to the Finals he will have to beat Chen Qi, Xu Xin and Zhang Jike. Boll against Chen Qi is almost a 50:50 chance, Boll probably wins slightly more. But he has never beat Xu Xin, and despite beating ZJK in their 2nd to last meeting, he got beat pretty badly the latest one. So unless either of them suffer an unexpected loss early, Boll doesn't look like he will get too far.

Da passt es doch perfekt, dass ich morgen nur die 3. und 4. Stunde Unterricht habe. :)

There are some promising first round matches, I'm definitely going to tune in for Joao Monteiro against Gao Ning, that could be exciting. Also definitely going to watch William Henzell play Mattenet, support my semi-home crowd :p hehe awesome that we are moving on to the main draw, time to bust over 12 months of built up anxiety and see some world class table tennis!

Some great first round matches. Alan Bentsen beat Tiago Apolonia! William Henzell of Australia almost did enough to beat Adrien Mattenet of France with Mattenet winning 11-9 in the 7th. Currently watching Gavin Rumgay playing Jean Mi, it's 3-2 to Jean Mi watching on ITTV great stuff!
