Calderano game was always about power counter shooting and this game was aimed to beat Chinese players but for me his equipment always were too fast and not spinny enough and then he had problems with his serves. I think Ma Long with his bh looping would crush Calderano with different tempo. Harimoto is winning because he has unique ability to put ball on other side like Waldner and maybe new Butterfly rubber is less spin sensitive/ less throw demanding and gives you chance to Play very fast after bounce and voila..
Shunsuke was always baller but he was always too fast on the ball and he always play like with dynamite on his back

Common man, have a little sense of humor! Everyone can see what review for what it is. Plus we get a laugh out of it.

I had a few of my reviews (which were absolutely legitimate) reported and dinged. I responded to whoever let me know. They thought I was just dogging the rubber, but certainly now every rubber is a 9 for speed, spin and control and I still think my giving some of the rubbers a 6 was more than fair.

October, off by a month... A first for Butterfly.

Given the upcoming press release at the end of August (the Chinese caption on Instagram and WeChat clearly states 发布/press release), the release date is probably November at the earliest (very rare for a brand-new flagship model), with the first batch reaching retailers a few weeks to a month ahead.

Aibiss was the only time in recent years the press release and release date were so close together.

Professionals who use 09c probably wouldn't switch. But Harimoto, who previously used the Dignics 05, apparently feels it gives him something extra.

Do you have a sense of whether Butterfly sees it as more of a tackiness/spin upgrade on the Dignics 05, or a bouncier/more accessible 09c?

I can't speak to a general consensus of all testers but from those I did speak to it seems like it will be pretty close to what @RefereeNumber2 says here. Basically, not a drastic change but a "less Chinese" 09c. Those used to 09c will probably be inclined to stay with 09c but some 05 users may take the step up.

No surprise... I semi-jokingly commented earlier that ESN will go through a rough patch if they can't just copy the latest Butterfly flagship release

Was it a coincidence that Butterfly waited just a few years after the ESN patent had expired (1999-2019) to apply for this patent, which has also been granted for 20 years (2023-2043 for JP and 2024-2044 for GB US CN KR DE).

Fairly confident a lot of companies had tried this ricosheet before including Nexy and ESN. Butterfly will be interesting for this one.
