I'm back playing table tennis after a gap of around 20 years. In that time the technology around the blades and rubbers has changed dramatically and it's a bit of a minefield.

I'm getting back up to speed and my playing is improving. Although I am now comfortable with my blade and forehand rubber, I am struggling to find a suitable rubber for my backhand (which is stronger and more offensive than my forehand).

I've tried numerous rubbers from various manufacturers and as yet have not been able to find one that offers a good combination of attack and control. Has anybody had similar problems and what rubber did you finally go with?

Thanks

Hey Woldster, welcome to the TableTennisDaily site :) Great to have you here. Der_Echte sounds like a great option and definitely worth trying... that is a fantastic priced rubber for the quality you get. As you haven't played for a very long time, it would be an idea to go for something with a lot of control. You could always ask for some players at your club to try some of their old rubbers. I usually do this. I will try my friends old rubbers and can work out which one is best for me :)
