Having played with Rakza Z for a few sessions and playing with G-1 almost 2 years, I totally agree with you.Hybrid rubbers are made for topspin and especially countertopspins. Drives, blocks, smashs and pushs are definitely not their sweet spot and you should consider other rubbers. Honestly speaking, drives, smashs and flat blocks are hybrid’s biggest weakness.
Rakza Z is significantly slower than G-1 and requires bigger strokes and body mechanics in order to produce spin and speed. It's very good for receives and short game but blocks and flat-hits are not it's strengths. All in all, I find it completely different from G-1, so I'm really amazed that some people seem to find similarities between the two... But I guess we all have different opinions about rubbers and equipment in general....
