Both semi finals have been played and the scores are in. In the first semi final of today the 13th November 2011 saw Zhang Jike defeat Joo Se Hyuk. Wang Hao followed his compatriots success!

Wang Hao the champion of last years World cup came up against Japan's Jun Mizutani. Seeded no.1 for the tournament Wang Hao defeated Mizutani by 4 games to 1 with scores: 11-8, 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, 11-4

In the last three meetings between Jun Mizutani and Wang Hao, the Chinese star won every game by 4 straight sets! However, on this occassion Jun has broken that record by getting a set from Wang Hao. For some reason Wang Hao has mastered how to defeat Mizutani.

Wang Hao seems to be able to force Jun away from the table very easily. When Jun usually topspins away from the table he has a lot of success. Although against the Chinese players this tactic does not work due to there diverse variations in their spins. Players who play away from the table barely have a chance agains the Chinese!

So there we have it! The final is a repeat of last years 2010 World Cup final. The Chinese have once again prevailed and taken over! Wang Hao vs Zhang Jike are the Men's Singles 2011 finalists.
