Another Butterfly Viscaria with a longitudinal crack in the canvas has been restored.
After the repair, both the frequency and amplitude became higher.

Hi, guys!
This time we got a very interesting blade for repair - Gewo Aruna Hinoki Carbon OFF with a broken handle.
There are a lot of curiosities, let's go!
On the end, this blade is closed with a green fineline end tape, which we removed, so take a photo of the internal structure.
We see a core layer of ayous, then two thin layers of carbon, some light wood across and hinoki on the surface. We remove the top veneer and see koto across, take a photo. So the structure of this blade looks like this: hinoki/koto/thin carbon/ayous/thin carbon/koto/hinoki.
Also, among the features, this blade has a very low balance 24mm, due to the light canvas 61.4 gr and a massive heavy handle 25 gr without cavities. The handle is thicker than most standard handles:
- top - 27x23mm
- middle - 28x24mm
- bottom - 34.7x25.6mm
- length - 100.5mm.
To compare handles, take a photo blade with a more or less standard thickness but a longer handle.
The canvas is slightly wider than standard and has dimensions of 153x157 with a thickness of 5.8mm.
Blade weight - 87 gr.
This blade is really not fast. Before the repair, the frequency was 1078 Hz. After the repair - 1195 Hz, catch the graphs!
I would classify this blade as Off-

Continuation of the Gewo Aruna Hinoki Carbon blade.
Such a low balance was needed, because rubbers Gewo Nexus EL pro Superselect max weigh a lot.
The racket, complete with rubbers, weighs as much as 195 grams

I didn't want to measure anything and post it here. Just a routine repair of a new! DHS Long 5 blade on the surface. But I decided to measure the dimensions anyway and it turned out that the size of the blade is different on both sides.
On one side - 159x150 mm, as it should be, and on the other side - 158.5x150 mm. The reason for this is that the handle is glued with a skew. The difference in chord is as much as 84 mm and 87 mm, and the chord greatly affects the flexibility of the blade. Things like that.

The thing is that when gluing the handles, a slippery layer of glue is formed and the handle "floats" when clamped. To solve this issue, for example, Nexy made two centering holes in the handles and the canvas. As far as I understand and saw from the videos, other manufacturers use special clamps, but that still doesn't protect against human error.
When I glue the handles, I make a markup and very carefully clamp along it and correct the position of one half of the handle and then the other. This requires time and attentiveness, but that's okay when you're only dealing with one blade.
