Wouldn't an unboosted H3 suck even harder on BH though? In case there was a problem with his H3, I suspect he would've ditched it all together and played D09C both sides.

Who knows, perhaps he's too bored with beating everybody that he wants to try going full 2020 LJK hulk-style, and just wants to destroy them with monster BHs coming from H3BS.

in the video he didn't flickr much, and his BH counter looks slower than normal, so maybe it's really is an unboosted H3

Interesting idea. I don't think DHS pr CNT would like to go that route. What is the benefit to them as a business? If this is true, it would be a bad precedent for a player who can still compete even if they are trying to force his hand.

My theory is that since Franziska does this fairly often, they may have challenged Fan to do it or made Fan think about it.

His H3 rubber was never commercially available unlike WCQ’s or Ma Long’s so stopping producing them wouldn’t change much for DHS and there’s no sign whatsoever that FZD will come back to the international stages. I don’t really find the idea of changing his forehand rubber on a whim plausible as he won every one of his major titles using that. Maybe he’s really just having fun as he can easily buy Wang Chuqin or Ma Long’s personal rubbers from somewhere if he wanted to and those are not all that different but being forced is my base case.

Yes, interestingly the side with the lens on is the outer carbon, so nominally the forehand side, but being used the other way round.

He has been using it forever, it juat hasnt been commercially available (which is true for many things pros use). Quadri uses stuff that Gewo sells but in a thickness that is not commercially available. Why they don't sell that thickness commercially? If I knew I would be running Gewo. I would have thought everyone wants thicker sponge so...

It is not an update of "that line" - Evolution - but a separate development.

How much thicker you think it can be than the commercially available 2,2 mm before it exceeds the limit?
This would be interesting as regards any other "thin topsheet, ULTRAmaxx+verythicksponge" rubber from other brands as well.

That’s from backdooring it from the factory. There’s a reason they don’t show the packaging. It’s not available officially. Prott is known for bakcdooring rare player exclusive items. On the flip side this probably is actually his personal rubber unlike the officially promoted ones which we don’t know of for sure

Thanks for this. Was interested to see his BH rubber since i didn’t recognize it. Interesting to see someone else use LGY’s brand besides himself
