but we don't know where this safety label should be applied, on the rubber or the sponge ? because if it's the rubber, of course when boostering it stretches, so yeah if the SL is then too large according to a standard that has been decided in the ITTF laws, then it should avoid couterfeiting by boostering, but I'm only making assumptions here...
If this works it can actually be a cheap easy method. Umpires just need a ruler. Even the opposing player can check.

If one knows the distance between sponge pips of each rubber as manufactured, you can calculate if the rubber has been stretched?

This is so typical of @igorponger ,

He will once in a while post some incoherent post that only he will understand, then disappear without replying to his own post. He will then lay low for a while and suddenly pop up again to repeat the cycle ad nauseum.

So typical of Igor.

it counts as factory tuning.
in fact, DHS can have a "moving factory" that travels with the players.
This moving factory consist of rubbers and a bottle of booster in a bag that is branded DHS factory
It actually differs from the certificated rubber, so technically it's not legal as factory tuning. Factory tuning is the tuning that the factory does before sending to the ITTF to pass the cetification.

(I think he didn't understand tony's sense of humor but let's see if it clicks in his mind....)

Yup, that's my assumption, but... now I remember Dima showed once on Youtube he stretches his rubbers with only legal water based glue, so again without any further explanations, it's hard to tell.

That's Igor, sometimes nice ideas, always few explanations.

Stretching it is illegal!
So is cutting it!

Physical treatment! Gluing is chemical treatment! Everything is illegal except pre-made rackets!
But wait, don't the companies glue the rubber on a premade too!? That means theyre illegal! Humans are made of chemicals... are we illegal?

I like my version of Igor's point. Create a new version of table tennis where you score more points for winning a longer point and only one point for winning on server/first shot, two on your second shot (third ball or fourth ball ) etc. This Will encourage and reward rallies and we adapt the scoring system to this reality.
