Hey guys,

I've been wondering if any of you have had any experience playing this rubber and know of its poor durability. I have played mine for approx. 2 weeks (4-5 trainings of 2h on avrg.) and the performance has gone down drastically after 2 weeks. Kind of disappointing in terms of durability... but man, this rubber plays like a dream in the first week and a half. Best rubber ever if it wasn't for its poor longevity. So this is where I need your guys' help, do any of you have experience playing the Hybrid MK and know a rubber which gets as close as possible to this rubbers characteristics but has a better life-span? I really love this rubber but simply can't be bothered to switch rubbers every 2 weeks.

Thanks in advance!
I really dont know how u have to change them after 2 week, got mine since july and i play 10hours a week, maybe an unlukcky bag ? you should give it another shot this rubber is just amazing. Maybe try to use revolution 3 or falco life expander on the new one once a week to upgrade their lifespan

Even the arc is the same? I can't stand a high arc rubber like Rakza Z or D09c.
Nuzns have lower arc than RZ and D09C. Bear in mind Nuzn is borderline nontacky, the topsheet is just fairly soft and pretty grippy more than sticky

I would also love to see the comparison between NUZN 48 and MK.
I approve the message that MK is one of the best if not the best ESN rubber -- a hybrid that is effortless to play, yet so extremely spinny. The only bummer is the durability, mine usually wore off after a month, some clubmates used it for 2-2.5 months tops.
Having a durable MK analog would be a dream.

TL:DR - 48 is slow and dead. Use the 50 instead. 50 has magical counter looping abilities, but suffers in spin generation. 55 doesn't have the same spin generation problem, but rubber requires better technique and skill on all strokes.

I would look into the Andro Nuzn 50 instead of the 48. The 48 felt like a huge step down compared to the 50. Everything was considerably slower and dead. It almost felt like hurricane 9 lol...

On the other hand, Nuzn 50 was a really big surprise. The rubber was so easy to engage and produced a really good arc on the ball. But the surprise was it also very low spin sensivity almost like a dampening effect. I played a match with a 2100+ player with a insanely spinny loop that I could never counter effectively, but with Nuzn 50 it felt like as long as I hit the ball decent, it would go on the table. He and I were really shocked when I was beating him in forehand counter looping rallies (I'm a backhand oriented player).

It does come with some disadvantages and one of them is the lack of spin. I found that I was not able to win points off of my spinny open ups alone, and instead relied on continuous attacks to win the point. This also extends to the pushes. Most of them were really well placed and low but it lacked spin. Once my opponent noticed this, they would flick every short push.

There's also the Nuzn 55. It's like the 50 on steroids. I did notice the topspin arc was noticeably sharper and more aggressive. Pushes and loops are also very spinny, but the counter loop required more finesse than the 50. The 55 is like a rubber you have to tame whereas the 50 is easy to use and very suitable for amateurs.

The 48 felt like a huge step down compared to the 50.
... which is the idea behind the 48 and 45.
Unlike other manufacturers who just put sponges of different hardnesses under the same topsheet the NUZN 48 and 45 are different rubbers based on the same technology, specifically aimed to bring the NUZN technology to lower level players who cannot handle NUZN 50, let alone 55.

Right... I just think they missed the mark. In my mind, I feel that lower level players want a rubber that's controllable but can still produce spin when hit hard. The 48 is controllable but lacks the power on harder shots when compared to Rozena or a 37 degree hurricane. Those two rubbers offer much more spin and still have great control. If we have to pick an ESN rubber than even Fastarc C-1 would be better.
