I have a pixel 6a and might be interested in beta testing this.

I have a tripod that goes up to about 60 inches, about 152 cm. Is this tall enough?

If my phone and tripod are ok, then all I need is the balls to try this out?

How critical is the black shapes on the balls? I could mark up balls with some black spots just to see if it works with my setup.

I don't want to commit to buying anything yet. Your website says an internet connection is needed to send the data in real time for processing. I am not sure my club has public wifi.

Does output to the tablet require the phone and tablet to be on the same wifi network?

For example, if the club doesn't have wifi and I use the phone for internet, then I can't view results on a tablet? I could get the results via bluetooth headphones?

We recommend a height of 2 metres but your could try it.


3. How critical is the black shapes on the balls? I could mark up balls with some black spots just to see if it works with my setup.

So we use a specific ball pattern with unique spacing that enables the camera to detect the spin but if you replicated the pattern it would theoretically work.

With regular table tennis balls you can still see speed with spinsight just not the spin.

No, they don't need to be on the same WiFi network. Both devices just need an active internet connection - either WiFi or mobile data works fine.

You could also maybe just use your phones mobile hotspot for your display device.

But if not yes bluetooth headphones work to tell you your results.

Results are also displayed on your measurement device as it’s measuring.

The Spinsight app measurement function is only available on iPhone 13 and newer models.

Thanks for the question, must be placebo.
They don’t weigh heavier, they are the highest grade international 3 star balls but we’ve put our dots on them.

When Annette is the only one in the frame, she looks like any typical female player. But when she's standing next to the others, they are all six footers, one realises that she's actually taller/bigger than them . She's strong. No wonder that she can give the ball such big spin and speed

As for the angle to set it at, when setting up Spinsight the app shows you exactly where it should be pointing in correlation to the net and the lines in the middle of the table.

It appears on the screen using the camera allowing for perfect positioning when used in combination of the fully extended spinsight net post phone holder.

Hi, I’ve been told that Spinsight IS NOT supported in the UK and won’t be for months to come, which is disappointing if this is the case. 😫 A little misleading for UK viewers.

Sorry I can confirm it is not available in the UK yet. Really sorry if you felt misled this was not our intention and we will try to be more clear in the future.

However rest assured we are working on this night and day to make it available in the UK as quickly as possible. We would love to give you an exact date but we wouldn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. Hopefully though sometime in the next few weeks.

We will be sure to reach out to you on here personally so you know exactly when it’s released on the UK App Store.
