Improving my outdoor table tennis table with plywood?

Hey all,

since the second strict lockdown is rolling around the corner in Germany and I still want to continue playing TT, I thought I would try and improve my Sponeta outdoor table tennis table.
The problem I had, when the first lockdown hit in April 2020, was that the bounce of the outdoor table was so much lower than that of the indoor tables. Consequently, the serves I practiced on that table ruined my real serves, because the outdoor table was so forgiving. And secondly, I held my racket far too low and needed a couple of training sessions to return to my old habit.
Can I simply put a plywood on top to improve the bounce, or does it have to be glued to it? (that would be a problem though, because I have to store it somewhere :D)

TLDR; My outdoor table bounces too low, can I just lay plywood on top to improve the bounce?

Looking forward to your opinions.

Cheers,

Kjell
