Hello
i played with viscaria and changed to infinity vps. Viscaria is great blade, but is to fast for me.
infinity is a little bit slower, throw angle is lower and have more control. infinity is more suitable for close to the table playing style.
infinity is a very good friends with airoc m

I switched from my viscaria with t05 both sides to a Infinity VPS V simply to try something different. Blade is a fair bit slower and lacks kill power away from the table. Also isn't the best blade for smashing, manufacturing quality on mine was excellent, currently using Donic Acuda S1 fh and Donic Acuda S3 bh. :)

In my personal opinion there is no reason to switch away from the Viscaria. It is one of the best blades ever made, and there isn't much else you could want from a blade.

I would say that my game style is offensive, I like to use my forehand for fast and aggressive topspins; but I miss about 1/4 or more of them :/. I also have frequently been told my backhand is better than my forehand :). I prefer to play mid distance but I am told play close to the table.

Hey I have both blades. The vps is lighter and feels great. With tenergy 05 on both sides it's a great paddle. Blocking and countering is a dream. But it is considerably slow. That's not a bad thing depending on your style of play.

The viscaria on the other-hand is heavier and designed for advanced players. When I started playing with it as a beginner I liked it but felt something was wrong with it. I missed many shots with it and blamed the blade. After two years of practicing proper technique the blade worked wonders. My Viscaria blade finally made sense to me why it played the way it did.

Big mistake people do with viscaria is they put the wrong rubber on it! Do not put tenergy 05 fx on or any other very soft or bouncy rubber on the viscaria. The viscaria has a very hard surface and when combining it with a soft rubber such as tenergy 05 fx you short game will be a disaster! Every soft touch or chop will be high and advanced player will take full advantage of this and win many points!

But if you insist or putting a very soft rubber on the Viscaria plz remember this! Put a minimum of three layers of water based glue on blade and rubber this will cushion the bounciness between rubber blade for perfect ball to rubber and blade ratio hence helping your short game drastically. Also this will make it 10 times easier to loop and and ur serves much more spinier.

On the Viscaria I'd recommend a Chinese rubber on forehand, preferably Hurricane III national if u can get ur hands on it. 4 layers of glue on blade and rubber aswell. Tenergy 80fx on bh with 3 layers glue on rubber and blade. This setup will give a nice short game, fenominal blocking and deadly looping and smashing.

Thanks for the quick overview, I'm planning to use the infinity vps with hurricane 8 for the fh and tenergy 64 for bh. Do you think this is a good setup?
