Vodak 4APC King

As promised to Vodak I write today about my game and playing evolution due to the adaptation to the 4APC King blade.
I was fascinated by the ease with which I could respond to services and how easy it was to block! I also realised the need to adjust my forehand topspins due to the not perfect efficiency of the shots (technical issue), but the potential of the racquet was clear (I’m using Bluestorm PRO max both sides).
Now, after 1 month of playing, I have found and adjusted some elements that allow me to make the forehand in quality as I like, but also in power, as well as the backhand and smashes with both sides!
The adjustment was to modify the grip slightly: slightly higher (1-2 mm) than my usual grip.
Now the strokes are really impressive, while maintaining an optimal ball control!

I can only suggest to the folk that if you are looking for a faster (but not too fast) blade than Viscaria or Fang Bo ALC, but also Long III (wood only) or Long V (carbon) you should also consider this blade! And the quality of the blade is equal if not superior to the best blades on the market!

I know one guy from Poland, he is the worst reviewer in history of revspin and he likes Vodak work, no disrespect but if big lier is big fan, Vodak is not good anymore.
I think I must be misunderstanding you; it sounds like you're saying that because one guy whose reviews you don't like is a fan of Vodak blades that means that they must be poor blades. Apologies if I'm misunderstanding, but could you perhaps clarify? Thanks 🙂

Now, there are some months behind me using the 4APC King and I can only confirm what I wrote above!
Knowing now deeper how to use the blade, I can play more easyly all kind of strokes, not only the obvious attaking strokes, but also all the couter attacking strokes, the blocks, the chop blocks(!).
What you think, your decisions, complex balls, all this stuff are transformed in actions that some times surprising me how fast, sharp I can play!

The best choice ever!

Hello,

sorry for the ressurect of this thread.
Im looking for advice on blade choice.
Im 44 years old. I play TT 35 years but never regullary, with long gaps in between. So I'm a amateur.
my 2 kids started to play TT and its again time to start playing a bit more (with them and wife atm.).

I want to give myself a treat and buy a high quality blade. It could very much be a blade for the rest of my TT play or at least for the next 5-10 years. Would the Vodak APC King be a good option?

best regards,
Kuba

Thanks Andrzej for the reply and suggestion.
Can you explain why you recommend these blades instead of the 4APC King?

the need to look for used blades is deffinitly a minus but not a dealbreaker though.

best regards,
Kuba

Flex and pleasure. You wont be gold olympic medalist?
4apc King
Description of wood
!!! stiffness-speed-large rotation-control !!!
4 APC King is a 9-layer absolutely unique offensive wood with four layers of AP-Carbon.
I played with 9 ply blades, they are stiff. Nie wiem jak napisać to po ang. Stiff/ Error ratio.
stiffer blades gives more chance to make errors. Used equipment is better than new because you can see quality of wood
Sometimes people buy things just to try new things
Timo Boll Has little dumb feeling but this is good classic blade
Dhs 506 is Ma Long ex premium equipment, a lot of flex, normal speed, good feeling.
I would choose premium all wood than composite blade if I want buy something and didnt try anything new. Natural wood feeling is the best choice

Thank you for a detailed answer. This was very helpful. I,ll be looking for a good blade on olx then.
Best regards,
Kuba
IT is your choice. There is small margin between good equipment and failure
When someone write total different equipment it is not bad
