Hi new to the forum and new to "exotic" tt equipment. I just recieved a w968 blade i ordered from tt11 and the date of manufacturing on the box doesnt match the date of manufacturing on the handle of the blade, also think the weight is slightly off but havent removed plastic because of the issue with the dates so hard to know for sure and dont have measuring equipment good enough to check thickness of blade to see if that is accurate. Is this normal and acceptable or should i return it

Doesn't sound right to me - on all of my DHS blades (Including two 968) the manufacturing date matches on both blade and box.

Weights I have had vary by up to 2g.

Welcome @Fhall !
What's your thought here, that it might not be original? Have you given the 'Verification' process a look (source PROTT.vip, link)?
I think I havent recieved a blade/box combo that matches and if i ever feel like selling it i wonder if that might be an issue. Also would just feel generally better having the specs on the sticker of the box match the racket. Havent scratched the verification sticker in case I decide to return it. Also from what ive read on this forum about the w968 before I ordered it I saw a lower "batch" number would be potentially better and this one is a 33 wonder if that is very high or avg...

My bet is that TT11 removed and weighed them when received but mixed the boxes when repacking.
Email them and ask

I did ask them if there was any slight variation in the thickness of handles to send me the one with the thickest handle so maybe that contributed to the mix up. Will call them tomorrow and see what they say, wanted some opinions from more experienced tt equipment junkies before i do 🙂

For me that is the main issue. So if I was in your situation I would return the empty box and ask for a send of the correct one.

Also from what ive read on this forum about the w968 before I ordered it I saw a lower "batch" number would be potentially better and this one is a 33 wonder if that is very high or avg...
I think that is an urban legend ... One could also argue that lower batches are worse as it takes a while for the whole machinery to warm up, etc ...

I have seen batches that go up to 60+ so you should be absolutely okay.

Def contact them and get the correct box. You won't be able to sell it w/ a mismatched box if u don't like it.
