Want to know why Yinhe Pro 05 is so head heavy?

I just released the clamps and measured the final results. From 3.5cm it's gone down to 2.7cm, which is right around where I'd like.
I'm gluing rubber now, very curious about the feeling behind the table.
That's going to have to wait until Monday though.
And by how much did the overall weight of the blade increase?

I played the revised Pro 05 tonight and it was miles better in terms of balance. At no point did I feel like it was head heavy, or clunky as I felt it was before.
I also took the hard edge off the vibrating at high impact. The KLC feeling is still there but more nuanced.
I do think it's a bit too heavy for my level of strength, especially wrist. The fine movement costs a lot of strength. But if I had to, I would get used to it.

Also took the opportunity to retry Hurricane 3 neo, using the worst sheet I had with an attempt to reboost. This sheet never cared much for booster, so I didn't expect much. The rubber felt quite OK on this blade though, much better than on a Korbel. I guess the time will come where I get better quality booster and H3 and give it another try.

We have a saying - "A good thought comes later" :).
In fact, when the blade board is heavy, there is not much that can be done to change the balance closer to the handle. In fact, there are two options - increasing the weight of the handle or decreasing the weight of the blade. All the Yinhe blades that I have seen have a head size of 151x158 mm, and Butterfly blades - 150x157 mm. In your case, you can trim the head of the blade either simply by 1 mm along the contour or according to the Butterfly blade template (slightly different shapes). The weight of the blade board, like the entire blade, will become less and the balance will change closer to the handle, and your blade will also feel more compact.
To reduce the weight of the blade, there is another option for reducing the weight of the blade board. I cannot recommend this option, but I also cannot help but write about it. This is grinding the blade surface. Firstly, it is quite difficult to do this evenly and without distortions, also reducing the top veneer can greatly affect the overall properties and durability of the blade. If you do not stop in time :), then the top veneer can become very thin and fragile.

The blade is already 157x150 and reducing the blade face will also make the whole setup less flexible. I like your thinking outside the box though!
For now, I will probably put this blade in the closet and eventually throw it out. I'd love to keep it as comparison material for now.
As I said before I started the operation, I wasn't going to use the blade in its original state anyway, so all of this was interesting and useful.

From what I heard this blade plays very well with Jupiter 3 tour or Big dipper provincial

Another example with a cavity in the handle.
The glue that Xiom use to glue the handle is very different from the glue that most manufacturers use. Apparently it is cyanoacrylate glue. VERY firmly glued.....

A fairly old Butterfly Keyshot Light blade. I'm not the first person to remove the handles on this blade, maybe someone made the cavity before me, but it seems that this is factory work. The second photo shows how Arylate looks like

Isn't a head heavy racket normal? Almost every kind of racket in the world is head heavy. Why would anyone want to play with a racket that has a heavier handle than the head? 🤔

If we were playing with bare blades, you would be right, but we play with rackets assembled with rubbers, and the weight of the rubber is the same or greater than the weight of the blade itself, which significantly shifts the balance upwards. In addition, harder and therefore heavier rubbers are increasingly used now, so it is very important to balance the racket well.

Head heaviness helps increase power in your stroke which is necessary to move the bigger ball

Easier ro make fast, "small" movements with a handle heavy racket. Pretty much all game over the table.
Better for sore elbows....

It's true, I like head balance myself, but a strong head balance prevents you from making sharp movements with your wrist, for example banana or topspin backhand. In addition, with such balance it is difficult to recover quickly for the next shot. Its better to have a "golden mean" in everything.
