Power Pong.
I'm jealous! You can do all kinds of spin variations with that robot. i'm stuck to one type of spin per drill, so i focus a lot on footwork drills..and drills that let me practice my Forehand to backhand transitions.

Wow that's the most...interesting correlation question. 2 forehands, 2 backhands. But with absolutely correct grip, technique, timing, weight transfer. So pretty much the robot drill will not break 1500, you will.

Consistency, forget the robot, practice with partner footwork, scenarios and predictability. Chinese philosophy, get out of your comfort zone, play irregular and different exercises.

Looping backspins. Below 1500 it's a lot of pushing, if you can get a high quality opening loop whenever the ball comes long, most won't be able to return it and you'll break 1500. You'll need to be able to re-loop to go higher. By high quality, I mean placing the ball on either corners or the middle at will, can vary between very high spin and very high speed, be able to do it against back and backside spins, and able to do all that against long, short, fast, or slow balls and preferably all with your FH.

Serve receive. A robot won't help you to read spin and trajectory from a real serve, but it can help with timing and making good contact against various spins and placements which are just as likely to be issues at the 1500 level. If you want your competition level to improve, it's almost always the case that working on serve and serve receive will give you the most bang for your buck.
