Do I really need to explain? :sneaky:

Last night you had great fun with your partner in the sack and the next day you felt confident and you felt you can do no wrong your hips were on fire your body felt amazing, didn't feel any tiredness. Ambitious shots layed on the table, your opponent is confused as fck...

I believe women elevate us a ton, heck they give us confidence and power. They are the best.

Interesting. I'm single, but would it be illegal if I used paid services the night before an amateur tournament?
Illegal? How is that illegal? Honestly, thank you for your post. I am really grateful that you asked this. There is no sanction or rule for you to use any paid or non paid service tho boost your performance or confidence in this way.

It is much more legal than using booster oil to make your rubbers more performant.
I'm not advertising for whoring, but if that makes you perform better than do it.
Many top players are banned from having fun. I have had the great privilige for contacting them, not particularly tabletennis, but also for Ironman (ironwoman). They are absolutely lovely and cute and beautiful. Can you accept their help for you to get better, YESS. Can you also help them perform better? YES, and gold bless you. Same for CNT players.

In my experience and in traditional athletic recommendations, abstinence is largely recommended during critical performance events to maintain a certain hormonal balance in men unless you need to relieve stress. But again, this is just traditional wisdom, may.not happy to any or most people and like all things would be helped by rigorous experiments. But I tend to correlate tok much activity with lower performance the next day at the table. But it could juat be my personal bias speaking. And ibam not a professional or super athlete either.

This might seem like a vulgar topic, but no, make no mistake about it this is a very introverted topic.
Most pro athletes, be it pingpang or endurance, have the same doubts.
They know a lot about preparing and their body and the more they know the less they understand. This is very normal, it means you are intelligent.
They believe if they eat a Bounty or Snickers during their preparation they will loose the edge. I used to believe this too and it's totally far from the truth.
A pro player doubts themselves all the time, "I'"m too slow, I'm too short, I have too short legs or arms or my reflexes are too slow, my stamina is low, my injury is too severe blablabla, have you bullshited yourself before with something similar? I sure have!
But when I was meeting with CNT players in private or some other olympic athletes in private and we went for dinner and woooohoooo and next day I feel like I'm the king of Asia... I gain points. Why? Self confidence is impotant.

My ironman babe was asking what time she sould do. I said do you best possible and even tho she is not the best runner in China except for elevation, a fairly bad swimmer, and an outstanding biker (especially elevation) she did exceptionally well in her run.

I have similar resaults, because I feel confident.🥹

true, abstinence was the standard recommendation for maintaining or even improving athletic performance in the 20th century. bro science was the gold standard back then for coaches. i knew a few wrestling coaches that believed that building up sexual frustration in their athletes helped them be more competitive.

you can still find the oddball coach that still peddles this misinformation, but only because they don't know how to read.

I don't think "building up sexual frustration" is quite the same thing as not having sex on the day of the competition (or even days of the competition). Most healthy males will not build up abstinence for anything by choice so knowing what and how the baseline was measured is important. And as the authors point out, there are many other things related to sexual activity that can influence athletic performance depending on the physical and emotional impact of the activity, the biggest in my experience being breaking focus, expending energy, disturbing a preparation routine and losing sleep. And no, I am not a top athlete nor young.

The authors also can't adjust for age (and quite a few individuals get less sexually active with age because of lower testosterone amongst other things). But yes, anyone who speaks authoritatively on the subject one way or another is is likely just reaffirming their own personal biases and beliefs. It's something that everyone figures out for themselves depending on what their experience is and what it means for them (sometimes even alcohol use) to be active.
