Why anti-glanti materials need a friction limitation.

Just look here --Truls Moregard struggling badly to read the incoming spin, and he only has very little success yet.
Sure, those flanti materials gonna utterly ruin the game . Those frictionless rubber materials make much ill repute for the sport. Nowdays, there is certainly a lot of unmerited advantage for the antispin players over others.
Yes, those deceptive materials should be all restricted to some clear-cut friction limits. CoF 0.25 should be the optimum.

We did now addressed ITTF with our convincing argumentation to limit minimum friction on the anti-rubbers, to be discussed within ITTF Head Office directly.

For my $0.02 I think pips do nothing for the game. What kind of audience would you get on TV when you show defensive or pips players floating balls back all day? I'd rather watch paint dry.

many decades ago, when I first got a ping pong blade in my hand, at the local swimming pool playing on a concrete table, there was a 1mm layer of cork as the outer layer. Would this be prohibited too today ?
Where does the policing stop ?
Where remains individualism ?
Will all players have to play with Ittf issued
standard rackets, handed to them at the begin of a match ?

TT is not a spectator friendly sport. People don't understand the game, thus they can't appreciate the beauty.

Exactly. Nothing changed during my nearly 30 year TT hiatus... Some can play against anti or long pips regardless how these were treated and some don't.

A lot of players enjoyed watching defensive players like joo se hyuk. I wouldn't want to see too many of them but occasionally such a match can be really great especially if the defender also is able to attack.

Watch that match and say it isn't great

Anti and close table pips blocking on the other hand I don't really enjoy watching

This post reminds me of a conversation I had sometime ago with a soccer fanatic. He was explaining to me the tactic, the formation etc bla bla bla of the beautiful game.

However, in my mind I only see twenty sweaty hunky man in boxers roughing each other over a leather ball.

That's what I mean. There's a reason football or soccer as they call it in America, is so popular. It's easy to understand, kick ball to net. Nothing hard about that. Tt is a lot more nuanced with spin and tactics, it's not that simple.

Of course at high levels every game has lots of strategy and tactics. But soccer to me is a bunch of people running around not using their hands.

The downfall of baseball is that there is so much going on underneath the surface the average person has no clue. That's why they call it chess on grass. The reason why soccer is more popular is it's easy to watch. Kick the ball into the net.......
