Maybe FZD gets nervous and plays a bad match. Could Truls at his current best beat FZD at his worst? Still seems like a longshot to me, but not impossible. He'll have to attack first and keep the points short.

He can but I don't think he will. Truls has been taken seriously by China for years even at the junior level. I would be surprised if they haven't figured out tactics that the rest of the world can learn from to defang Truls.

The other thing is that FZD is the most consistent player in the universe. This is an underappreciated aspect of FZD's game, he knows how to make you feel the pressure of making every shot. A better version of Timo Boll. And if Boll could take Truls to 7 games, FZD should win this regardless.
