You can do that on adrenaline when there is something to play for. The problem is likely in his left knee or there abouts. So he uses the backhand serve to reduce it but will go for what is available. Lin has the right strategy of playing to the middle but he isn't always hitting his spot. I think Lin has the advantage since he has figured it out.
