And whoever wants to kill the point. Harimoto tried various means and still came up short on multiple match points due to spin quality. Will probably take another year or two.

Another way to lure misses is probably the slower timing of European players. Got her many points but she didn't try on match points.

Every now and then a nepo baby will prove themself competent. Worthy, even.

Sora Matsushima is very talented. I'm not so sure he likes table tennis, though.

By all means have your own opinions on the matter. But let's not confuse them with the performance of the player. And calling someone a nepo-baby is basically a distraction from the performance of the player. Agassi hated tennis for a long time and is now a Hall of Famer. Other players have quit sports when they don't like them. The point is not to use your personal dislike for a player to dismiss their performance level. Losing/winning a few matches doesn't determine your level.

For sure. Anyone who watched the level that Tomo and Lin achieved at this event in the quarters and semis knows that whoever won that march was going to win the event. Just saying. The Jang vs Lin match did not reach that level at all.

It looks like Hugo will hold on to the #3 spot due to Tomo's points from last year's Star Contender Doha expiring, and LYJ will move to #9 just behind Sora. Are those correct?

Has greed sown the destruction of thr CNT? Since trying to create a tour has required the players to play more and this has affected the CNT and their usual internal training, i guess it is reasonable to ask this question. Fan probably saw the handwriting on the wall and just got out while he could. The current health status of the top 3 CNT is not good and makes Fan look like a genius now. But maybe i am overthinkijg it and this is too early to call.
