With this win, Odo will move into WR#17. Pretty amazing considering she doesn't have the luxury of rankings points from Olympics, WTT Smash, or WTT Champions.

She gets a break until the Asian Championships in October.

Adding a link to Fixpoint's Japanese schedule up to the ATTC.

The court for this tournament is so much better than the usual WTT feeders
Bulgaria has been hosting good Ittf tournaments for a long time. Happy that switching to WTT didn't ruin their standards.

Watched the last two days live in the arena - some great matches!
About the tournament standards - I think they even improved some things - in the beginning (before WTT) the spectators were allowed to go to the second part of the hall and there they could very often clash with the players and maybe even somehow disturb them - now it's not possible - different entrances and actually no logistical clash around the hall (some limitations for the spectators of course, but I think this is good for the players).
The only problem here is the marketing - I would say it's close to zero. Most of the people who play regularly in the club that I play at didn't know about the event and it's dates. Others didn't know that such event existed overall (and I've been attending it since the beginning, which is 2015).. So this is an area that definitely could be improved.
If anyone's interested about the prices - 5 EUR for 1 day of play (you sit higher than the playing field). On the finals day there was an option for a VIP seat near the table (that can be seen on the live stream) - 10 EUR for such seat :).

very cheap tickets I must say, maybe feeder is cheaper.

a pity marketing wasn't done.
I don't know if it is table tennis people don't support, or they don't know about it so can't support.
at least you have confirm one thing, for this event.

players are so used to playing with no spectators (feeder etc)
and when all of the sudden, the same player is in Olympics, and can't handle the spectators, we then say... the player is not good.

Not many understands that only some players get to play with spectators, while most others, will never have spectators...

I wonder what is the purpose of hosting tournaments (general question for anyone/everyone).
Is it for the sake of hosting
or for the sake of players participation
or for local spectators?

How important on the priority list is the spectators?

Hashimoto and Sato deserve their own award for Japan. but that is another story. Even when Japanese men need to play choppers in MS, Sato and Hashimoto are on duty.
All on their own volition of course. Great.
