So you clearly missed the point. I chose those matches because those are the players that you say are definitively better than Shin even though Shin has beaten them on the biggest stages (Hirano) and 2x in the last year and a half (Szocs) so I am asking you to make that make sense but it seems that you can't. And can only bring in some irrelevant comment about her losing to Mukherjee who nobody was talking about.

You keep saying that Shin has this inability to consistently beat players worse than her but at the same time say you can't be bothered to provide this list of all these bad losses you claim that she has. So I will wait for that list since you keep on talking about her poor record. Who do you have besides Mukherjee in recent times?

Szocs has plenty of recent losses to players ranked significantly below her. Shan Xiaona, Batra 2x, Sawettabut, Bergstrom in just the last year alone.
You would like a list? I mean, sure.

Alright let's start: (2024 mostly, majority of these losses in the first half alone. Scary)

Mukeherjee S
Takahashi
Diaz (0:3)
Mukeherjee A
Mittilham
Polcanova
Kihara(0:3)
Kihara
Kihara
Kihara(0:3)
Pavade (0:3)
Shan
Doo
Hashimoto
Jeon
.........
(Probably more)

I'm not 100% sure about how much Szocs lost but I'm pretty sure it can't be worse than this. In addition to that Szocs also beaten CM almost twice, almost beat Ito, Hayata and WMY, and also straight-gamed Odo, (all of these are top 10 players) so that's bonus marks for her. Shin OTOH has done nothing like that except came close to beating Hayata and won someone four seeds lower than her barely.

Mukeherjee irrevalent?? I brought her in there to prove you cannot judge players by head-to-head records otherwise it doesn't work at all. If you want me to make a "revelant" comment, how about this; Ito has like a 8:2 record against Hayata H2H. Are you telling me that means Hayata is not definitively the better player?

I have addressed your point (by giving you the list), now address my points:

"Give me another name in the table tennis world today that have an equally poor record in regards to their ranking. I'm genuinely curious if that person exists"

And this too:

"You guys are all aware of how good she had to play to take down Hirano despite the supposed ease ranking-wise. I mean, what will you all say if Ito won 4:3 against JJH? That she played so well and congrats to her? I don't think so. If that doesn't say something about accurate vs inaccurate ranking I don't know what does".

Do you mean LYJ? Where does Kao train with Lin?
I made this assumption based on how much his backhand game has improved. As far as I understand now, they don't train together, thanks to Tony for the information. So this is the result of the training system in Taiwan, which is great!

Yupe. As much as I like Xue Fei as I am penholder myself. Xue Fei is much weaker away from the table especially his forehand which is very spin base. Tomo was able to win many of the rallys away from the table as Xue Fei was just not able to overpower him. But he just decided to stay close to the table playing backhand to backhand and hoping for a forehand switch
Harimoto's reaction time was again way off. OMG, for such a player, I think he has the slowest reflexes of all the top players. But I had already written that once surely?

Paris 2024 MS and MT silver medalist out as well. Something must be in the water..., or the Swedes do not like American curry.

MS R32
Moregard 2-3 Jha (6, -9, -8, 9, -2)

I can say it pretty cold here in Singapore now when it would typically be much hotter…. The quarters are starting to look pretty short on “world class” players…..

At least SYB is looking like she will be in the quarters and not past it as some are saying 🤪
Whew! Fortunately, SYB wins 3-0 over Diaconu; otherwise, we wouldn't hear the end of it from 5545.

Kidding aside, I think 5545's beef is really with the WTT ranking system. You don't lose points for losing to a player. Losing early just prevents you from moving up or moving up significantly. Last year was a bit different in that WTT suspended play down restrictions allowing top players to play in more Contenders than they normally would without the need for a wildcard. And SYB used this to great effect by playing every tournament to grab that 4th seed at the Olympics.

JNT is wiped out. Not the best memories for Tasei before he takes leave of the MT this March.

It is cool to see them playing doubles at Singapore Smash though.
