He literally has NO weaknesses

It does seem like that eh.

It's taken the world rankings a while to catch up but they finally reflect what we've all know for quite a while, he is the best player in the world.
It's a shame that FZD and Ma Long didn't do this one more year for us to watch their battles!

Incredible final and well done to LJK for being at 2-2 but after that it was a bit ridiculous how good LSD played 👏

At19, Ma Long was far away from reaching this "No weakness" statue.
Judging solely from last 6 months' performance and achievement, we might say no one in the modern history of table tennis including all these grand slam winners can compare with LSD at this early stage of their career.
I never saw a player who was so confident and capable of looping with his backhand far away from the table against some of power attackers and having a decent chance winning each rally, not even ZJK and FZD.

LJK ran out of steam. Seriously a bit disappointing 3-11 and 2-11 in the last two sets.

LJK made a lot more mistakes in FH which took many points in the first two sets.

After Ma Long and WCQ, the TT world belongs to BH, as sad as it sounds. Why bother working hard on beautiful FH rallies?

WCQ's backhand is much better than Ma Long's, especially on offensive side. Though WCQ has the deadly forehand but his backhand is ferocious.
Even at defensive stance, most of WCQ's backhand is carried out like counter drive or hard block with decent consistency, making him one of hardest players to play against when he is at his normal level.

A little confused and annoyed that LJK got lopsided cheers by the female fans as if he were WCQ, probably by the same fans who lopsidedly cheered his opponent WCQ yesterday.
Did the fans felt sorry they mistreated Liang yesterday and tired to make up for him today? Or, they just were rooting on Liang hoping he would prevent LSD from dethroning their man the number one ranking?

Before the men's final, I said I would give Liang 2 games against LSD. Well, first 4 games, Liang played very competitively with some helpful nets and edges at critical moments. He did take two games forcing a 2:2 tie. After that he just seemed collapsed as if his job were done.
Tacticlly, starting the 5th game, LSD used several long pushes forcing Liang to either miss opening loops or inviting a weak opening loops which fed right into LSD's hungry backhand. Suddenly, we could see Liang's opening loop against long backspin was relatively weak compared his loop against topspin. Credit to LSD who at 19 played like seasoned veteran being able to find and explore opponent's weakness during the match.

Yeah he used to have a weak FH, but he's improved it a lot the past few months. He now has a much more forward FH stroke in rallies and is able to get his body into the stroke much more. His biggest enemy in the immediate future will be video reviews, which will put a stop to his hidden shovel serves

Clueless? I'd say not punishing SYS's stalling *immediately after being reprimanded for stalling* was. That was so in your face; respectless, and totally lacking sportsmanship. (Unexpectedly, of course; SYS would be a great player if she had just an ounce of that.)

If you would like to see some real stalling, watch CM v Hirano (2021) which took one and a half hour from start to end.

Although I do agree SYS's sportsmanship is not faultless, however her fan girls worship her

CM was SYS's teammate as well. Maybe that is why CM beat SYS twice in Olympics. This teammate thing can be both sides.

CM is (was?) the best at self-coaching in big matches. No moment too big for her. This is why she beat SYS twice in Olympics.

Before SYS was even a thing, CM was the tour teammate-killer. No coach, no problem.

It's hard not to act sometimes like spoiled child when you have a huge fan base, your teammates, coaches and even the table tennis bosses all love you with indulgence. She is yet to win the Olympics but got more love than any grand slam winners.
