Ahem, unless it was amended in later revisions, both the event organizers and the local organizers for US Smash were WTT...
In line with what I said but maybe I'm getting my terminology mixed up. What I mean is that the venue staff, among other groups who were assisting, who do things like set up the row of chairs etc. are not the ones to blame when all they're doing is following instructions from WTT.

From what I have heard, WTT and MGM's inability to reach an agreement came to a head mere weeks before the tournament began. The second arena at Orleans (which has been heavily criticized on social media) was the result of WTT scrambling to find another venue for the other tables with just weeks to go, as the original agreement between Orleans and WTT was only for Table 1 (Infinity Arena).

That doesn't sound too different from Budapest Smash 2022.
