My second review:
Yinhe Moon Speed (Designed for the New Ball)
I wasn't meant to do this review so quickly, but since I receieve an order today for 10 bats with Moon Speeds on each side, I thought, let me first take some photos and do the unpacking review so long.
However, with 20 sheets of rubbers (20 x medium and 20 x soft), I forgot to weigh them......
My sample sheet I weigh during my comparison with the Big Dipper was 64 grams uncut (38 Degrees). So I don't think the Medium ones will be much different.
Moon Speed (as well as all new Yinhe rubbers, except for Big Dipper) uses a range of softness and not the specific degree as before. Namely:
Hard+ = 41 Deg+
Hard = 39-41 Deg
Medium = 36-38 Deg
Soft = 33-35 Deg
Soft- = 32 Deg-
Moon Speed currently comes in Soft-, Soft and Medium. But my samples I received was 38 Deg (black) and 28 Deg (red), so I'm sure if one requires, they are able to get specific hardness on a special order. But from retail side, stores will be selling them in this range.
Recomended Retail Price: RMB130 or +/- USD22.00. Pricing may vary per country and not inclusive of VAT
Unpacking:
It comes in a vacuum pack (as per previous Yinhe Moon rubber)
The packaging cover is the same material as the previous Moon and not as good as the Big Dipper (where inner side is also treated with extra layer and have print on)
One different thing I noticed with the Moon is this extra clear packaging, which secures the rubber, film and paper.
Moon Speed comes with a rubber film (just like other Maxtense series of rubbers)
The top sheet is extremely elastic, print is very good. Similar quality to Big Dipper, just not as tacky. However I can see this is more elastic than Big Dipper. It makes the Moon look like a cheap rubber.
The sponge on the Black is blue (same as Big Dipper), and it has a factory tuned sponge and film to protect the tune
The red sheet is also extremely elastic and pure red compared to Moon where the red dye feels a little bit soft.
The red sheet comes with a bright yellow sponge
As the above is for customer. I would not be able to test it.
I would only glue on my sample bat in the coming week or two.
So please bare with me in terms of the actual testing review.
