I have used this blade for about 2 years now and i feel that this blade is the right choice for me. I prefer this blade because i really like to increase the speed in my rallies and win the point.

The Xushaofa 3* is a very good ball for the buck. I haven't broken one until now there I would say it is very durable. The only remark I would say is that the ball reminds me if playing with a jumbo ball.

For G40+ in Balls
Pros
  • Round when new
Cons
  • Expensive

I didn't like the ball that much. When it is new it is ok. Good speed and roundness is like nittaku, but when the ball hits a guard surface it gets marks very easy which is very noticeable when playing. It takes some time to get used to the sound of the ball. The cost doesn't reflect the balls durability!

Best poly made!
Good surface which makes it like getting grip as the cell ball. Speed is almost like the cell ball and I would say it is very recommendable for tournaments!

For G40+ in Balls
Cons
  • surface wear
This is an update on my previous review.

I have had about five long sessions with the G40+, and I have had lots of my clubmates try them. I have mainly been using them since mine arrived because I wanted to get as familiar with them as possible. With time now I will revise my order of preference for plastic balls to Nittaku Premium > XSF > G40+ (from best to worst). This is something of a matter of taste, but for me at least, I am sure of it.

The main reason for this is that with a bit of wear the G40+ gets even more smooth and shiny on the surface than they are when new. On my last review, I mentioned that the surface was smoother than other balls when they are new, and this is a unique feature. Once this wear happens to the G40+, with maybe 90-120 minutes of use, the playing properties decline a great deal. You start getting very low sliding bounces, unpredictably, since the normal bounce of this ball is very high. Also the ball becomes harder to control. This does not happen when they are new, at least not as much. But it is in marked distinction to Nittaku Premium and XSF which stay playable for much much longer (and indeed improve a bit after you have hit with them for a half hour or so).

Everybody who has tried the G40+ at my club has said they feel very fast, more so as they get shinier on the outside. With the speed and high bounce, the game becomes distinctly less spin oriented. I haven't managed to break one yet, but it hardly matters if their wear makes them not useful for other reasons.

I am going back to the Nittaku Premiums.

I play with butterfly balls G40 at training.
So compared to them, DHS balls are too soft (to me), I don't like the feelings in any table.
Moreover, we can't induce a lot of spin on it.
First generation of plastic balls, long live the gen2 (and 3)!

I play with this rubber in both side for a year now. Before I used to play with Coppa platin x1 (completely a different style!).
This is a rubber only for offensive players.
You can do almost everything with it, however you must get used to the loop, quite surprising, but you can be very efficient, if you ALWAYS play forward.
In other cases, you will have no reaction of the rubber.
T05 will help you if you gives the right impact.

When I see beginners playing with that, it's like starting driving in a porsche. You don't know how to control it, what I have to do to have good feelings etw...*and damned, the price......*

Not a blade for beginner for sure !
Very good blade for players playing at middle distance in top spin. Personnaly, my forehand flip has become much easier with this blade!
However, you can't take advantage of this blade if your gesture is not "perfect".
For players who have already a quite high level, to appreciate this ZLC.
a flaw: Quality of these ZLC are different. I have 2 of them, and feelings are significatively different...

Probably best rubber for loop and top spin close to the table.
I think this rubber is the real alternative to tenergy 05, I recommended this one for everybody who want very aggressive rubber whit low price.
Ive been using this rubber since august and it's still perfect.

Hi!
The ball got it's ups and downs and overall I wouldn't prefer it. It's bounce is irregular because the ball isn't evenly round and hard. It's sad because the ball got good spin, and from sight you can see quality. Im a very sensitive table tennis player so this affects me. But as said it has it's ups which is that it has a good spin and feeling though the inconsistency.

Hi! I play with this rubber and I like it very much. It benefits my strikes especially the loop though it has this good combination of speed and spin.
The best thing with this rubber according to me is it's durability. As a player training very much and at a high level I do pursue these rubbers I don't need to buy new ones of all the time. Butterfly 05 was my savior in this case. It's a rubber I recommend and I think it fits the majority of us table tennis players.

Hi, I play with Carbonado 190 combined with a pair of Butterfly's 05. I've had it since it came out and havant had any thoughts of changing it. I think it specified for certain play styles and with that I mean some player must love it when other hates it. Why so, well because it has this low curve combined with a high amount of speed it can be hard to control, especially when much spin is in play. But its also positive because this low curve and speed is really enjoying for your opponent and with todays popular game style(looping from half distance) this blade really helps to make that final stroke or strokes.
I've always liked to compare 190 and 145. I my club, many of the players are playing with carbonado since they bought it when it came. Today they are trading around their blades because they've realized that one of 190 or 145 fits them better. The player who have this stereotype technic and gameplay chooses 145 when the player relying more on his decisive strokes chooses and 190.

Hope that you know can see how I consider this blade and good luck finding your blade

We use these at the local club. I've heard no player complaining about how they perform so far. No complaints either from the training robot.
In my opinion, probably better than most other 3-star balls by other brands that I've used.

I bought it because I've always been a fan of light blades and never seen them as less reliable than the heavier ones.
In my opinion, the Ma Long Light is certainly a blade that delivers.
It doesn't vibrate when you hit the ball. I think it provides a great feel for the ball, since I am able to play very short and accurate blocks.
It's also great for rallies, looping and mid-range counter-attacks (I do a lot of those with my backhand). There is not an area where I find this blade lacking; perhaps it's not the most aggressive out there but I prefer to sacrifice a little bit of power in order to gain in control and close/mid-range agility.
Also, sometimes getting a lighter blade is a good for players with bad shoulders.

Anyway this is going to be my main blade for a long time.

I bought two of this for my FH and BH after I was using DHS Hurricane 3.

What I like about the Xiom Vega Pro is that it is far from being as tacky and so it picks a lot less dust. After using it for almost two months now playing about six hours a week it still is very good. I like how a less tacky sheet means less sensitivity to the opponent's serving spin, especially compared to DHS Hurricane 3. I can also do a lot more fast blocking with this rubber. It is particularly suitable for players who like me stay close to the table and either play an aggressive game or counter-attack with well-aimed fast blocks. The throw angle is high enough for a comfortable close to mid-range game where you dominate your opponent. I can literally smash through every loop of the opponent with the Vega Pro.

Perhaps where it lacks a tiny bit is in speed, but then I suppose that can be fixed with a thicker version. I picked the 1.8mm one because I wanted my setup to be as light as possible since I had some shoulder pain, but now that it's gone I will be going with 2mm or max.

As with all plastic balls, the ball does crack however out of eighteen i bought only one has cracked over 6 months of multi ball( with other balls) too. It is seamless and makes a crisp contact with the rubber as it makes contact. Also probably best value for money.
