Liu Shiwen retains World Tour Grand Final Title in China! (PHOTOS)

Today, on the 8th December China's Liu Shiwen pocketed $104,000 as she was crowned this years ITTF World Tour Grand Finals 2012 Women Singles Champion defeating compatriot Ding Ning in 6 sets with scores 9-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-1, 11-7, 11-7.

Last year at the London Excel Exhibition Centre Liu Shiwen was crowned women singles champion. Precisely one year later Liu Shiwen retained her title by again defeating Ding Ning in the final stage of this monstrous event!

In a death defying match up, Liu Shiwen recovered from two games to nil to win the next four sets 11-9, 11-1, 11-7, 11-7. Once the second set was won 11-1, it was full steam ahead for Liu Shiwen dominating the table on every occasion with her strong backhand.

The game was very fast paced, with both players standing close to the table. Both players really putting on a show for crowd with fast counter attacking exchanges.

Prize

Liu Shiwen received a huge sum of $104,000 and is now the owner of a GAC Trumpchi GS5 SUV car, Silver place for Ding Ning and collected $52,000 and a GAC Gonow GX5 SUV car.
