Hope it plays well. Some information. Not sure which plies, of the woods you have access to are best. But the gluing process (the lamination process) is important and I don't know how that is done.

The thickness of the plies can make or break a blade. Often the core is sort of thick and the outer plies are super thin.

The head size can be a factor. A head size of 150mm x 157mm is very standard. Oversized head sizes feel great though, like 151mm x 158mm. The oversized thing though will make the blade feel more head heavy. There are blades with a small head like your 155mm spec also though. Not sure how well a smaller head would play. It should make the blade slower and have less feeling. But if the wood used and the gluing process cause the wood to start out with a lot of feeling and fast, it might be fine.

Last detail, thickness: 5 ply blades that are between 5.6mm and 5..8mm thick play pretty nicely although, there are plenty of good 5 plies that are thicker. 7 ply blades that are between 5.8mm and 6.2mm play really nicely and are good for looping and hitting. But there are a lot of 7mm 7 ply blades. They are stiffer and better for hitting even though you can still loop decently with them.

I will be interested to hear how your blade plays.

Congratulations on making your first blade.

thanks man i used a 4 mm samba core and 2 mm beech veneers , its 16 cm on 15,3 exactly , for the gluing i used just a normal wood glue and i pressured it , i guess its nicely glued , i just weighed it and its really heavy (135 grams ) ; i tried to juggle and the rebounce was pretty high i guess it will be a really nice blade

Woe, an 8mm 3 ply blade. It should be pretty fast. Very stiff. Good for blasting the ball like a cannon. Der_Echte would like the weight if it is handle heavy at least.

6 - I weighed the bat without grip tape - 117 grams - THAT is BETTER

7 - I put on grip tape and bumped up the weight of the blade to around 120 grams

8 - Put on rubbers and overall weight 218+ grams! Hard to see with the light but it topped out at 218+ Gs

I took a couple of swings and MAN this blade is suddenly SOLID! Gunna try it out today with the rec crowd.
