Nice bat you have there! Are the rubbers soft or hard? I may try this on the backhand.
DHS H3 Neo eats BFT for breakfast![]()
If i talk about only FH loop, then i have used only 2 rubbers and both proved to be good enough, Tenergy 05FX on JM blade and 9000E on N-11, but that from what i've seen from those 2 rubbers, it is like the following:
Tenergy 05FX = fast, best from med to far from table
9000E = slow, best for close to the table and so so for med or far unless more power added which i don't like to do all the time
So, i was thinking of a rubber that can be in between, not so fast as T05FX but not slow as 9000E so i can play for close-med table without much power to use and safely have the ball on table, but i am not sure if the rubber is the only factor here or type of the blade may affect the loop too.
That bat looks brand new. Nice bat. How much have you used it? It looks like the rubbers were just cut.
I think there are soooooo many good rubbers. I don't think there is a such thing as best because everyone is a bit different so that something that works well for one person may not for another. When you have something that works for you, stick with it till you find something better.
One thing I have noticed, before the poly ball, top pro players regardless of who they were sponsored by, most of them were using Tenergy at least on one side if not both. People sponsored by Stiga, Donic, Tibhar, Andro, all got caught with photos of them at major tournaments using Tenergy.
Since the poly ball, I think some rubbers have come out that grab the poly ball better and give better spin on the poly ball. But I don't think anything has as good a sponge as Tenergy.
Right now I am using Victas V>01 Stiff because the topsheet is amazing. The topsheet grabs and spins the ball better than anything I have felt. Better than Tenergy. But Tenergy's sponge is still better than Victas.
In the end though, it all comes down to personal preference. I personally don't love H3 but it is darn spinny and some people love it.
I've played with the H3 neo and i like it alot but this is another level!!![]()
I don't dispute that BFT's top end speed is higher. However, H3 Neo is a rubber that has more gears, and thus allows to produce shots with a far wider variety of speed/spin ratio. It also beats any tensor/tensioned rubber in the short game and serving department. Finally, it produces a different arc when looping as compared to something like BFT or Tenergy - which is a huge advantage when your opponents are only used to Tenergy-style loop arcs.
I agree that those that are only used to "Tenergy-style loop arcs" will be at a disadvantage!
Tough the M1 turbo dosen't feel as fast as Tenergy 05 I think.
