Okay, I was just calmly reading this thread, but now I have no idea if You (Archosaurus) are serious or just having fun trolling

(no offense, I really started to wonder about that). The facts are:
1. You are most likely under 1800 USATT
2. You said You are advising around 2000 USATT palyers
3. You claim that your selection and techinque are "beyond your level"
From that, and from Your writing style, it seems that You are soooo overconfident and simply mistaken. first of all, if Your shot selection is on so great level, and Your techinque is also beyond Your level, then what could be holding You back ? You said, that "overextending" holds you back, but it only means that You are making bad calls when it comes to shot selection.
If it is not a good enough argument for You, then I quote:"At the same time, you'd be a fool and not kill a ball if you have more than a 51% chance to hit it successfully and immediately end the point." It is so wrong in so many places. If You get the ball that You can kill with 51% chances it means You got pretty easy ball from Your opponent. Easiest way to win that point would be to make a 90% chance shot that would put him in even greater disadvantage and that would give You even easier ball next time, after few shots like that, usually 3-4 You will get a ball that You can just kill with ~90% chance.
Those arguments shows that You are PROBABLY not so great at selecting appropriate shots.
Now the question is "Why You are so certain that You are so great at selecting shots ?" Well, that is quite easy to answer now. As I could see palyrs under 2000 USATT does't have huge selection of shots. Your "power loops" and slow spinny loops are probably not so different from each other, You most likely can't use banana flick, flick kills, pushes with different spin on return etc. And I was talking only about fh here.
It means that amount of shots that You can make is not really huge and it is quite easy to select what I want to do. You have limited options, whre players on 2400 level are quite different. They can make a lot of different shots, so selecting the perfect one is much harder (cause You have more options). Now it should be obvious how irrational it sounds that You were advising playes onhigher level about their shot selection etc, while you never played above their level before.
I am not quite familiar with USATT system, but I have send Carl my videos some times ago, and I can say that most likely I was around/over 2100 USATT then (and it was after my 3 years break from that sport, and I am only taking part in competition once per week and league games with no real training yet). I am not saying that to brag about it, but I am saying that because I would never try to advice player that is over 200 USATT than me. I can keep them calm in their game and so on, but I can't pretend that I know more about the game than they do, I don't know what shots they can make with what % (unless they are my close friends).
And why I said all those unpleasant things ? To help You (even tho you dind't ask for that, so maybe I shouldn't do that). If You stop thinking that You ahve much better technique than Your current level and that You ahve great shot selection skill and just face he reallity You will improve much faster, but ofc I can see that it is not Your goal since it is just "hitting the ball for fun" for You. Ofc I am not saying that it is wrong mindet, if you ahve fun then it is all that matters, really
As far as my level is concerned: Last friday I palyed match of my life with Young palyer from my country. I have lost 2: 3 with very close 2 sets (that I lost). He jsut turned 13, but he is now playing in ITTF Premium Junior Circuit (and he had 3 matches in group 5 sets each). And I am still unable to tell the level of any player that video I have seen in that thread
