I have done some calculations to help translating ratings v.s. skill levels. My calculations are done based on data from https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Table-Tennis/Ratings/Rating-System
When two players play together, the winner will gain the exact amount of points that the loser will lose. The...
Hi all,
I am Tony Ma and you may know me from the USATT 2000 in 2 Years video on YouTube, but I'm posting here today to tell you guys about a mobile app I created.
I am studying computer science in college so I decided to use my skills and work on a project relating to something I was...
Here is my first tutorial video featuring a good friend of mine. He's rated 2250 in the US, and has a 2300+ level forehand loop. Please go check it out!

I want to get better but as I am in working class with a family. It makes it hard for me to make normal club hours.
I got a membership at SPiN at 690 folsom st. It's free between 11am to 5pm or 10pm to 12am at night.
If anyone can make those times give me a PM

As you know, a few months ago ratingscentral changed its algorithm. I want to know how RC-Points compare to USATT-Ratings now. If I remember it correctly some time ago it was estimated to be USATT ≈ RC + 400.

Recently I reached USATT rating 2000 :D and it was within 2 years of my first table tennis lesson. My passion for this sport is overwhelming and I have already made memories that will last a lifetime. I would love if...
I am referring to this page: https://www.teamusa.org/usa-table-tennis/ratings/ratings-stats-by-ttspin
I remember a page that used to work. Does anyone know what happened to it? Is anyone working on it?
EDIT: here i am, hoping that Matt Hetherington sees this or something.
ITTF Table Tennis Ratings is no longer the real "World Ranking". It's now considered as a ladder for the most recent active players. It doesn't reflect the true skills level of the top players. And using the current ITTF World Ranking is dangerous.
Therefore, I decided to make my own rating...
Ok. I've been practicing against long pips lately because they have been killing me for so long. So I just made it a point to really take these ungodly rubbers seriously. Once I began to understand and play fairly well against pips. My training partner opens up a new technique that completely...
A friend of mine is working on a statistics project, and needs people with a USATT rating to fill out her survey for data. She needs at least thirty people to fill out her survey.
Please take the time to answer her survey. She will appreciate it very much. Thanks ahead of time for helping out...
hello,
I read that many people make references to some kind of USATT rating, like 1800+ or 2600. Is there anybody who can tell me, along with anyone else interested, what this actually means, eg, what a 2000 player actually looks like?
thanks
At the risk of sounding like kowabunga, estimate these players. There's more video of some of the crew on the channel, if you need more material.
I'm curious to see what TTD thinks.
Hey guys,
I know it's been touched on briefly in other threads, but I thought I'd see if we could bring all the info together for everyone to see in one place.
How do you players in the USA get your rating? From what I've seen on the forum, you have no regular league? Is it purely tournaments...
Pretend you don't know my USATT rating and assume that my opponent's USATT rating is not public info.
Can you guess the ratings and give specific reasons why you give the players the ratings you would give them if possible?
Thanks.
I am quite interesting about rating equivalence between usa and france.
Does anyone know about ?
In France, a beginner start with 500 points, the player who is number 1000 is about 2000 points, and the top players 3000 points and more (Freitas is 3589 points)
I am 1286 points
I would like some help estimating the rating between the two. Someone from the 8th German League is coming to my area to play for awhile and I'm just curious what his estimated "skill level" would be around.
Thanks!
So this is a UK based forum with a bunch of international users talking about their leagues and tournaments and it just sounds so much better than what is offered here in the US... I just want to see how many people in the US are on here, what your USATT rating is and where you're from!
I'm...
