NL, our meetup lasted a full 24 hours and some more ... so I will try to post one picture that says it all for now and then I will try to put it into words later ...

Monster adamantly stated his topspin was significantly weaker since he has paused in his lessons.

TT Monster is usually on time on balance ready to continue the attack if I block. I wasn't worried about his first loop, I can block, but dude can keep up the attack. I counted on winning half the points on his serve where I push and let him go on strong attack. I was confident I could get more than 50% of my serve points.

Monster has a meaner punch serve than Carl had last time I met up, but that was a few months ago. He has a plan to open on third ball and a will to attack until the ball is by you.

He adjusted to some of the things I threw at him and I had to work for my points, I couldn't slack off or he would be the one adding points to the score.

(In Korean) I will need to do a THUNDER RUN one of these times at the Korean Karoke places with some Koreans we will randomly befriend and add to the Goon Squad. Then he will know I am Knower of Obscure 70s/80s Korean Pop, where I learned half my vocab.

Monster, i could be wrong but it seems to me you have quite improved since your last vid which was a while ago.
Der_Echte: can't wait 'til you hit germany again.
You guys must have had a blast.

I also was impressed by Sandy's performance. She seems to be quite good and has a decent amount of spin in her shots.
In our women's leagues you will only find this on pretty high levels. In the most lower leagues over here the women often tend to play pretty FLAT.

I am not so sure Suga about the improvement part, but its possible . But I can definitely say , being around Der_Echte raises your adrenalin level , I have not played 10+ hours in two days in quite a while and with Der around it was a breeze , even though I have feeling it ever since he left town ... so its entirely possible it was the Echte effect that was causing me to play better ...

but honestly, I was not being modest , I was really excited to play him , I did not know after having played four days on the trot I could still pull it off but the adrenaline was very helpful and so was Der_Echte trying to make me look better than I am ..

I wasn't trying to make anyone look good, I was trying to win games and play the percentages. I couldn't see for crap in the TT hall and my eyes water the first 30-60 minutes. No percentages in going for my normal flips on receive. As a consequence, I wasn't aggressively receiving serves and trying to take a better ball. That gave both of you a better chance to open up and show yourselves.

Monster look like a solid player to me. And all his serves looked pretty decent.

I may have a big mouth and talk a lot, and I may have taught myself a decent amount about how to play without real coaching, I may have also had a lot of help from decent level friends, but I really am not very good. I just love the game and have an interesting perspective given I started playing at 44 and am just short of 52.

I said than meaning at the last time I saw you last, you have worked a lot on the serves and I haven't seen the results of you labor live just yet. That ought to be a reference point you and NL understand. I think you are Monster are pretty close in level and don't anyone believe the nonsense about being no good, unless it is relative to an elite player or pro. In that case, I am ate up as much as anyone.

Yeah, Carl got a big mouth and he clowns around and causes trouble yaddity yaddity yaddity. We all know what direction of good it goes and we mostly know how much I run my yap off. Der_Echte is prolly Carl's long lost brother, kinda like a younger Racer X.

LOLOL ttm is MODEST! So far the Goon Squad both East and West Coast are 3+ levels above me!

The only thing i got on the Goon Squad is: I am the Master of the Bad Shoulder!
