Does anyone try DHS tensor rubber, Gold Arc 8. I got some descriptions here world.tmall.com/item/547618160539.htm?id=547618160539, but i can't read chinese language.

We tried this rubber in 47.5 hardness yesterday and were very impressed. Clearly on a level of other latest German rubbers like Tibhar Evolution series.

I bought mine from Hongkong for 30 USD, so I now have a German rubber made for China that I play in Germany - and it cost me less than most German tensors when I buy them here.

I used the GA 5 with 42* hardness 2.0 thickness on backhand on a Septear blade.

Blocks are good
Spin is good
Lacks speed
Spin while Service is good
Ok you got me ... This is my next rubber to test ...

I am really interested in this rubber. I like medium-hard attacking rubbers with medium-high throw angle and good control. Can anyone provide any direct comparisons to Rakza 7, Fastarc G-1, MX-P or Vega Pro that has played with either the 47.5 or 50 versions?

Second this. Very much interested in trying GA8 or Fastarc G1 as my next forehand rubber. Hopefully someone who has tried both can chime in.

Vega Pro is not 47.5, its softer. Omega V Asia is harder 48-50. And you can't compare degree hardness chart by different producers too. 50 degree of Tibhar is not equal to 50 degree of Xiom or BTY.
But you can try Xiom Omega V Asia. It has all you have described you need. For me it excelles T05 in every aspect plus double life span.

Vega Pro is not 47.5

According to various reliable sources I´ve just double-checked it is.

And you can't compare degree hardness chart by different producers too. 50 degree of Tibhar is not equal to 50 degree of Xiom or BTY.

This is only partly correct, I´m afraid.

Butterfly have their own exclusive scale, true. You would add around 10 degrees to compare with ESN made in Germany hardness.

But for all current Tibhar and XIOM rubbers (andro, Joola, GEWO, Donic ...) made by ESN in Germany x degree is x degree.

Chinese rubbers have yet another different scale.

Ok, its your believe, and I respect it.

But I can't agree. All tensors are made by ESN, but every different brand tensors have different specifications and some different compositions, allthough they all are tensors. And for sure they don't have equal X degree chart. Besides that the hardness degree of different tensors do not describe efficiantly the difference of their characteristics and sometimes a harder tensor will excell where you expect a softer one should do. And tensor hardness do not reveal the particular tensor dynamic change of reaction depanding on the strength and direction of the impact vector plus the implemented dwell.

Here we totally agree. The overall playing characteristics depend on many different factors, among them but not only, composition of topsheet and sponge hardness.

But the sponge hardness (not the overall feel) is measured by a certified industrial procedure, and there is no room for 50 being 49.

However, as you say, a 50 degree sponge rubber A can feel significantly different to a 50 degree sponge rubber B. It´s just the 50 is 50 in both cases.

It's actually the other way around.
These are your conclusions you try to present to us as facts.
Think again:
Do you seriously think ESN produces these sponges and sell it to one company as 50° and for the next company the same sponge will be declared as 48°??
Does that really sound logical to you and makes sense??
C'mon, you can do better than this.

The differences you describe are rather a result of the different topsheet/sponge combinations.
Besides: ESN is a TTD member as well as Björn Helbing (2nd league player and product manager at ESN), maybe one of them sees this and answers too. Otherwise you could send them a pm.

Have you ever tryed to play with a sponge?:p

Of course its a metter of rubber + sponge combination, and I think I've mentioned that there are some peculiarities in this regard too, and not only in this thread.
Besides that many players think that usually tensors of same brand and/or brand particular family use one and the same sponge, like the way with Tenergys - one sponge different rubbers, but that's not true.

Back to the problem - Xiom Vega Pro is MUCH softer than Xiom Omega Asia, allthough they are marked /by some specialist/ with almost the same hardness.
But I have put the accent on a different point - the hardness degree of a tensor will not give you much usable information about its real playing characteristics and I have mentioned why.

This made me laugh.

Fun to see when someone is trying to figure out what they mean; even if they think they know what they mean.

50 durometer sponge with softer topsheet feels different than 50 durometer sponge with harder topsheet.

Even though the 50 is 50.

So, if someone was to suggest that all the 50s are different numbers, or that they measure the hardness of sponge and topsheet at the same time, just run away or you may end up with W968 Blue Sponge Rubbers with a T05-H3 National Custom blade. And don't forget the National socks and underwear.

And now I am wondering which kind of booster I should use on the socks and underwear?

Darn it! Now the goon squad is after me yet again. [emoji2]
