I'll be in Seoul for the next four months for student exchange.
Is there anyone who lives there/has been there before who can point me to affordable clubs to play?

Seoul is a pretty large place, you would do better to say which subway station is closest.

Expect to pay around 70,000 Won a month for membership without lesson at most clubs.

I found one in Anam and two near Hanyang University but they are a bit on the pricey end for me (80,000won a month). I ended up playing with the Korea University team which just had a registration fee of 10,000won

120 euro sounds expensive.
But its interesting that its the same 5% of the average montly wages as it is here, but here these 5% are 30 euro.

langel, W 80,000 is around a bit more than 70 USD or maybe 60 Euros.

10,000 won is maybe 7 euros or so.

80,000 a month for a full time club to play EVERY day for 8 hours if you like is still pretty inexpensive.

Right, my mistake.

I made the calculation in BGN /bulgarian currency/ instead in euro.
In euro the figures are 60 euro for Korea and 15 euro for Bulgaria, and the percantage is respectivlely 2.5% for both countries.

In USA, our large 20 table full time 11 hour a day club is 50 USD for a month, but you pay a minimum of 40 USD/hr of lessons... that adds up quickly. (unless I coach, my rates much lower until I get a large body of history of success)

Yes, the ratios are similar everywhere.
Here the monthly tax is 15 euro and the 1 hour coaching is 12 euro.
The same 80% as in your club.
