V>15 and MX-P are on par. G1 is slower than both. It has the feel of G1 with the speed of MX-P. The catapult only kicks in with power strokes, kinda like G1.

Topsheet gets eaten alive, sponge is pretty nice. Durability is on par with normal ESN rubbers. (Note I train 9~12 hours a week).

Harder rubber = More durability

Sounds like a good rubber. I wonder what makes it less popular

I also use Tibhar Stratus Power Wood. I have G-1 on the backhand. I have used MX-P. Yes I agree MX-P is faster than G-1 but also less control. G-1 also lasts a long long time, compared to MX-P. G-1 also has more spin than MX-P. I used C-1 which a bit soft to G-1 to get used to it and eventually went to G-1 for the speed. Never tried S-1 or P-1. I just never felt the need.

I have tried Tenergy 05 fx on the backhand. Too bouncey. My push will go off the table. I tried EL-S, Rakza 7, Rakza 7 soft, Baracuda, etc. for my backhand. Don't remember much. I have always gone back to G-1.

I have stripped G-1 off my current blade after 6 months to put on some of my older blades to fool around at the club and surprisingly those G-1 rubbers are still pretty grippy!

Sorry, I have never used any Victas products.

By the way, recently I started using Tibhar Fortino Performance with the same set up (H3 neo on the forehand side and G-1 on the backhand side). I actually really really like Tibhar Fortino Performance. I think I am going to transition to that blade. If you like Tibhar Stratus Power Wood, transitioning to Tibhar Fortino Performance carbon will be pretty easy. I was pleasantly surprised.

I currently own Viscaria and Acoustic carbon but I like Fortino Performance better. For me, touch is very important especially when I used H3 Neo on the forehand side. I like my Tibhar blades basically.

I would use D05 but it feels hollow for me. I'll probably move towards 50-53 degree rubbers soon when I'm powerful enough to whip it like that.

After my 2nd time around, I am yet again hit with the reason why I wanted to move away from V>15 extra.

It changes it's characteristics after some time aka short peak performance.
It becomes softer and feels like a thin topsheet-ultramax sponge but without the hardness or catapult of it.

It is still a controlled feeling but it's quite disappointing. I'd guess most modern 50 degree rubbers outperform V>15 now, spinwise and for a similar speed rating.

Actually I don't doubt you but I have different experience and that is what my biggest gripe is with ESN rubbers. They are not the same. You buy a sheet now and half year later and they are not the same.

For me my black V>15 Extra was and still is lovely to this day. Very stretchy, very bouncy and even tho it has wear it doesn't affect play. I can not say the same about my blue one. That one is pretty horrible.

I would agree that V>20 and K3 outperform it but K3's durability is a bad joke.

I'd like to use the black but I have the black side reserved for chinese rubbers or my current xiom tau 2.

I'm using a red V>15 so maybe its different.

Edit: I keep an old red V>15 only 5 months old. It's still plenty bouncy but its always the spin potential that dies with age.

I'm super sad. I WANT to love this rubber. But hot temperatures just destroy this rubber (aka all of SEA). I've gone through my 3rd with my 4th still sealed in 5 months. Even my H3 and tau 2 aren't doing well in that department, (It's 36-40 celsius at 6 pm where I train).

I don't know what I'll do from here wirh my bh situation. I'm considering Gewo nexxus and other 50 degree rubbers but not victas.
