Does it scream?
Lol not as much as my Viscaria with D05 which I could put out absolute screaming bullets. With Harimoto ALC I have to work a bit harder for those cho lei worthy shots :)

Well, I managed to get some serve practice in tonight.
set up is J&H H52 and Hexer Grip (HG) on a Zhang Jike ALC. There is a pretty big difference in sponge hardness, JH 52 degree. HG I believe is 45 degree.
Bounce test, HG is about twice as bouncy, 8 to 10 bounces until ball comes to rest, JH H52 4 to 5 bounces.
When serving a much more positive serve action is required with the JH H52, you have to have more finesse and touch with the HG Especially to keep the ball short.
Regarding spin levels, both produce good / high spin levels.
The ZJ ALC blade (basically a Viscaria) is a much faster blade than my SDC 7+2 ply defensive rated blade!! But the blade has less influence on serves compared to the rubbers.
I’m really looking forward to giving this set up a proper try on Tuesday at the next coaching session!!

The JH H52 wasn’t the only rubber purchased!! 2 sheets of Tau 2 arrived with the JH H52. Tau 2 is tackier, at least it
can hold the ball for a second or so!! Something I like!!

I got the rubbers from PingPongOnline, which I think maybe based in the Philippines.
Tau 2 was £26 per sheet & the JH H52 £29 for a sheet.
Price for the Tau 2 was sort of as expected, but £29 for the JH H 52 was a nice surprise, TT11 has the JH V version for £40 (€45)
I didn’t checkout the price of Xiom Omega VII China Guang/Ying, but they may be available at a reasonable price as well

Xiom have a very solid group of Hybrid type rubbers, Tau 2, JH H 52 and the China Guang/Ying, although there may not be much difference between JH H52 and China Guang/Ying other than the sponge hardnesse, Perhaps the JH H52 should have been called Omega China Yin!!!

I used to love it for the feeling, power when needed, crazy amount of spin, it almost force you to brush all the balls - that is good, because I appreciate spin very much.

The only reason why I hated it, because I did pretty nasty cut on my eye brow while executing counter loop with it 😂
Even national mma championship didn’t give me such face damage - but it’s more of a joke of course, and the problem is not a blade, but my own movement and a brute force with what I did it. Now I always telling to people - TT is a dangerous sport hahaha🏓😉

Other than that it’s one of my favourite rackets for sure. Really good one.

Had to make this racket, I will hopefully test it soon.

Blade: Sword Dazzle Wood (7 ply: Limba | Spruce | Ayous | Ayous core)
FH: Xiom Omega V Asia (max)
BH: DMS Firestorm Green Edition (2.1)

That's a great looking setup. Let us know how that blade plays. Always nice to see a new Chinese 7 ply I haven't seen before.

Got a couple of sheets of Xiom Vega pro and one of Vega X (for my FH) - haven't played any Xiom rubbers so keen to try these out and see how they differ from T05/Rozena etc. Also from the Aurus Prime and Select I am using right now.

on VEGA X ball sometimes slips due to humidity

Picked up Kenta Matsudairas collaberation with TIBHAR in the MK Carbon Blade. Had a long session with it today and some first impressions:

- It's light, mine weighed at 82g but I didnt notice a lack of power. With Victas V20 (2.0mm) and V22 (2.0mm) applied the racket weighed 176g.
- The blade is very hard, feels harder and crisper than viscaria, ZJK alc and Victas Koki Niwa (the only other carbon blades i've tested)
-A bit hard to explain but despite the hardness i don't feel that the ball 'flies' out of the racket, there is still adequate dwell time which i really could notice in pushing and service, i was able to keep the ball low and spinny.
- An area where i struggled was looping very heavy backspin balls ( i feel this is a technique issue as was first time using such a hard blade) Looping versus small or medium amounts of backspin was nice and i was able to implement great placement and control in the shots.
Overall I really liked using this blade and will continue to do so over the next sessions

Sword Vsea
Loki Arthur China
Loki Arthur China

Already using the Sword Vsea with Battle II BS (fh) and H3 neo 37 (bh)
Im really surprised how good that blade feels, especially on fh. I had some serious issues because of the higher weight (over 200g) especially on bh, but as my wrist adjusted it gets better by the day, and im almost at my FZD ALC level (probably even reached it by now).
Therefore i want to use the offseason time to revisit Loki Arthur China. And because my bh stroke got noticably better i think i could play LAC on my bh too. But we will see.
Sword VSEA is said to use Vectran-Carbon. What is the difference between this and regular ALC or ZLC?

Sword Star Diamond Forest CPEN 85.3 g, 6.0 mm thick

Loki Rxton 1 Plus Black 53.2 g -> 38.9 g (1.5 cm gap)

Winion Initial Pink 61.0 g -> 45.7 g (~0.1 cm gap)

The blade is Koto-Ayous-ALC2V1 (2 Arylate to 1 Carbon)-Kiri. Surface was rough, I sanded it slightly without sealing it. I'd say the blade feels less polished than Yinhe blades. Handle felt thick (thicker than YEO), but I am used to the small handle of my Rutis Revo J.

R1+ is tacky, I can lift the ball up ~10 cm before it drops. If I drop the ball from ~20 cm, it bounces 4 times before it stops. Felt slightly harder than Baracuda. My estimate of the sponge hardness is 47 ESN / 37 DHS scale.
Winion Initial is non-tacky. The ball bounces ~10 times before stopping. My estimate of the sponge hardness is 43 ESN / 35 DHS scale.

Winion is a big TT store on Taobao, and they started making their own rubbers last year (at least that's when I'm aware of it). This rubber is bought from China by my friend, I don't think it is widely available outside China. It is ITTF approved. It is advertised to be similar to German rubbers. In China, it is in the same price range as Rxton 3 Blue/Pink.

The topsheet of Winion initial is certainly under lots of tension and makes it very difficult to glue on. Both the sponges are brittle, I used a cutter and made a mess despite being as careful as I can. Scissors are highly recommended.

I bought this combo hoping it to be an easy-to-use bat for mid/close to the table two wing topspin style, hopefully it will work out well for that purpose, but I won't get around to test it until next week.

How is that Winion rubber? I think I've seen that here in Vietnam at the local shop. I've definitely seen the Loki/Rxton rubbers around here at multiple shops.

I haven't played with it yet. It's definitely more bouncy than the 5 dollar rubbers (CJ8000, Rxton 1 (regular) etc.), close to Presto MAX (~15 dollar?) on my another bat (blades could affect my perception). For non-tacky rubbers, the surface grip is decent. I suspect it might be a little too bouncy for pushes, but it's not a problem for me since I will only use it for RPB :)

The TMXi above has 1399,7Hz frequency response, I measured very precisely 1399,7Hz along almost all the blade. This shows a very good selection and treatments of the woods used for manufacturing the blade. The blade is very stable and even. It weights 86,9gr. My ALXi weights 85gr, has 1379Hz on center and 1356Hz 3.5/4 cm from the center. TMXi seems to have a bigger sweetspot, and is a bit harder than my ALXi. It seems also a bit stiffer than my ALXi. Handle is very comfortable for my big hands. Craftsmanship is very good, except some strays of carbon fibers on the edge, symptom of not perfect cut.

Rakza Z black max weights 71gr uncut. It will go on my forehand. Very sticky.
Donic Z2 red 1.9mm weights 64,4gr uncut. Destination: backhand.

I will able to try this racket for middle August. I'll let you know.
