This is interesting rubber. Geospin topsheet on Battle 2 sponge.
A few things have happened:

1) Remember my impulsive $320 purchase on July 9th? Well the winner of fastest delivery is the shop Stuor2017! The blades arrived today. It has beaten the (fake) DHS Table Tennis Store, BEO (my previously fastest Aliexpress merchant) and Table-Tennis Store. The DHS table tennis store is shipping me Yinhe 970XX blade and Friendship 729 Battleship pro with blue sponge (that's why I am pretty sure that is not an official DHS store; I am buy non-DHS stuff from them). BEO is shipping me the Palio Ak-47 and Palio CJ8000 and Sanwai F3 Pro. So I can see if Ak-47 and CJ8000 are really good backhand rubber or not. Table-Tennis Store is sending me the Lumeria blades.

2) Please see below. Is the left one the Stuor's version of Harimoto innerfoce blade?

3) I am trying not to waste rubber so I am figuring what rubber to put on the blades. Please see below. First set of photos. Left side is Rakza 7 soft stripped of its glue. The sponge is very fragile. I basically butchered the job. But what the heck. I am going to stick it on one of the blades coming up. The right side is evoluation MX-S. I just cannot get the glue off! I have given up. That rubber is going to waste.

Second image. The left is Stiga Genesis (first generation). The glue came off easily. The printing on the sponge is basically DHS printing. That's why I am so certain DHS made that rubber for Stiga. The right is Yinhe Big Dipper 40 degree blue sponge. The glue came off very easily on that one as well. And if you can see how Big Dipper's sponge curl up so so much more than the Genesis spong, after boosting. I did not like Big Dipper 40 degree but I might still try it as a backup rubber on one of the blades coming in.

Third image. Left is G1 max sponge. Right is H3 neo with its distinct printing on the sponge. For both sheets, the glue came off easily from the sponge. G1 barely changed after boosting, if any. H3 neo curled up a little bit.

Fourth image. Left is red Sanwei Target National with blue sponge. It curled up a lot! Right is I think black Sanwei Target Provincial? I am not sure because someone gave me that sheet for free. The right one barely reacted to the booster and the sponge is red.

Anyway I have a number of blades coming in and I have a number of rubbers I need to find them a new home...choices... choices..

Very good. I personally think stuor harimoto goes very well with tacky but powerful rubbers like GTX or Jupiter 3

Great. I always stick hurricane on my forehand on all blades anyway. I will see how Stuor Harimoto performs.

I ordered Yinhe 970XX blade and you want me to do a quick review on that. Let us see when that blade arrives.

I am surprised how fast Stuor 2017 store delivered from Aliexpress. They must have shipped out the blades on the same day that I ordered and paid.

Lol, don't tempt me. I have like 7 blades coming in. I also have Palio Ak-47, Palio CJ8000, Mercury II 2.2mm sponge (yes I paid $11 a piece for 2.2mm sponge; 2.0mm sponge costs only $6.80 on BEO store), Jupiter 3 Asia, Big Dipper red 38 degree (I was disappointed by the black 40 degree but I am willing to give it one more shot), Friendship battle II, etc. coming in.

I am tapped out. I really really need to digest this purchase for a while.

This looks like a pretty nice clone too!

Any advice what hardness I should use on CJ8000? My usual setup is 5 ply wood blade with Xiom Vega Pro 2.0 on both side. I bought Palio AK47 when I was in China but the topsheet is not as grippy as I'm used to. I barrowed and tried CJ8000 36-38 and it felt pretty good. Not sure if I should use harder on FH? Also ordered Mercury II rubbers as they are cheap so I figured why not try.

If it's the regular CJ8000 you're talking about, I found the harder it is the better it plays. They are all very slow though, so IDK if you'll like the speed, coming from a faster rubber. Also, the softer sheets feels mushy on an all wood blade, and REALLY lack speed.

Also, I've been playing with AK47 Red for over a week now and it really is quite weird. It's not grippy if you brush. However, if you engage the sponge, it's quite fast, and very spinny. Spinnier than Moon Speed (soft), but slower.

Edit: I should mention I tried all the CJs up to the 44H.

Funny you asked. I just installed Ak47 blue (the softest sponge) on the backhand of one blade and CJ8000 (don't know the sponge hardness because it does NOT say anything about that on the sponge or the packaging; you just get what you are going to get) on the backhand of another blade.

I tried them at the club today. I don't know. If you are used to catapulty ESN rubber, I don't know if you will like either AK47 blue/yellow/red or CJ8000. I agree. CJ8000 is NOT semi-tacky; it is tacky. CJ8000 does remind me quite a bit of Mercury II. AK47 and Big Dipper are the same; they are not tacky at all. Don't get me wrong. Ak47 and Big Dipper can generate spin just like ESN rubbers can, but they are not tacky like Friendship or DHS rubbers.

I think I will play with AK47 blue and CJ 8000 here and there for a week, then I am going to move them off my regular paddles. I am done experimenting with Chinese rubber on my backhand side.

I have a lot of spare rackets, but for most of them, I plan to put Mercury II and Sanwei T88 ultraspin on them because those are cheaper than AK47 and and I like Ultraspin better than CJ8000 at the same price. Sanwei T88 Ultraspin is not tacky; I feel that it is more "solid" than CJ8000. None of these rubbers are going to be competition rubbers for me. But I am going to find those rubbers home coming up on my spare blades.

Thank you in advance for your kindness reply and recommend.

📢 You cant use those sponges for competitive play. None of the rubbers has the standard identity print on sponge backside, as required by ITTF M4, effective from after 01.10. 2024.

Be happy.

Wait, what? Even if this is the case that is in the future, so it could be used.

Also what is this rule about sponge backside print? How it will be enforced if the rubber is glued onto the blade? It will be taken off after the tournament and if someone used illegal sponge they will be disqualified? That will open a lot of can of worms.
