thanks i managed to find by myself as well, so i could watch from G3

what to say, SYS is too strong. China wins as usual...
even though Hayata put it a decent fight, even though its 1-4 as in WTTC2023 SF, she had more chances than it that match.

Blowing that 5:0 lead in G2 cost Hayata.

She never looked like she was really in control, not so sure she blew it as that it was taken away from her. Though the forehand she missed off the side of the table was pretty funny and reminded me of many shots in my own game lol.

1-4 is the same verdict than at WTTC SF but it was a much better match from Hayata this time.
She had this big lead in G2 5-0 then 7-4 she misses the "easy" chance ball. still 9-6 (instead of 10-5) Then its 9-11. Then Hayata took G3. We don't know how SYS would have fared under pressure if Hayata took a lead in sets 2-1 instead

yes, G4 and G5, she was always behind but she did have some chances but didn't convert them all.

SYS is the better player in almost all aspects of the game. She's not just Chinese, she is WR1 and the current world champ. Its a tournament where we can say, Hayata has not been beaten by the CNT but by the WR1.

Hayata is collecting bronze and silver medals.
the gap between silver and gold is still huge, but we never know. SYS might have a bad day or some injury.
CM is still strong but has already peaked. WMY is having ups and downs. and WYD... well, after her 2 losses to Hayata, there is a risk she will become a premium hitting partner for her teammates and we won't see her much in international competitions. Such is the competition in the CNT. We don't see yet any other very strong young Chinese player emerging.

For JNT i hope Hirano will keep her N2 spot and that Miwa will be chosen as the N3 player to at least play in Olympics in the team event, and why not with her brother in Mixed Doubles if the JNT wants to give Hayata a rest to focus on singles and team only.

Ma Lin has been under pressure with loosing both women's doubles (shows you that it is still part of Ma Lin's KPI).
SYS just gave the head coach a life line
Results aside, he just doesn't have a good bedside manner on the bench from a public relations standpoint. That I think hurts him more than the results.

You're basically allowing Hayata impose her game whilst you hang on in balance hoping that you can somehow survive in the rallies, makes no sense.
Wang Yidi never looked like she had a clear gameplan.
It's known amongst the Chinese fans that Wang Yidi is a "muscle head"

Fun fact:
Since WYD is WR4 (week 38 or 39), Hayata (15) is still behind Hirano (10+15 = 25) in terms of CNT's top 3 points.
Hayata and Hirano is two polar opposite, Hayata has higher stability but lower peak form while Hirano has lower stability but higher peak form.

Latest example. MLin left WYD behind and both declined mixed zone interviews, which is fine for WYD but MLin? Huang Haicheng left SYS behind at least once, after 2-4 CIC at German Open 2018, and many think that is one of the reasons he eventually left the CNT.

Parting with Xiao Zhan was understandable (training intensity too high), but I don't get why WMY chose MLin, who has CM and WYD under his wing already. SYS is working nicely with Qiu Yike.

She probably wanted to have a better chance to influence her future. Maybe she looked at the competition and saw no reason she couldn't be hiw favorite and best player. And he is the head coach of the women's team.
